Pronunciation of Celwynvian

Second Darkness

Just out of curiosity, how do you pronounce "Celwynvian?" I've stuck to my usual method of using a soft 'c' sound at the beginning of elven words, but thought I'd see if anyone else is doing differently.

The word looks quite Welsh to me, so I went with a hard C.

I thought the same. It reminded me of a similar name used for a lost dwarven city in a Dungeon adventure...the name of the adventure escapes me at the moment...but I went with the soft 'c' for continuity, since I haven't used it for elvish words in the past.

Cellwynvian is actually one of several elements in Golarion from my hombebrew world... I made the word up decades ago, and if there's any Welsh influence to it, that influence is subliminal.

The pronounciation is, complete with soft-C:

sell-WIN-vee-inn

Looks like I hit it right on the nose then, complete with emphasis. Thanks, James.
