Thanks for the suggestions, all. Out of all of them, it looks like I might be able to use a few from the Chronoscope line; the remainder all are armed or otherwise "battle-ready." :)
I wasn't able to find any of the Foundry miniatures elsewhere on the web; if anyone has a link to a site that still has them, I'd love to see them.
I'm going to keep looking- if I find more I'll post. Thanks again.

I feel your pain, STL. I'd have more modern minis in my own collection if they didn't all come armed with guns. Even the Chronoscope have a lot of minis I love, but I don't want them wielding guns (or not the guns they are wielding) much of the time. (Sometimes I want my corporate witch not to be packing, thanks, or perhaps I think my adventuring guy in a trench coat should be a martial artist, not a gun man).
I'm practiced in doing my own conversions, but gun-toting miniatures pose a challenge because of the way the hand wraps around the gun (or if the gun is holstered or held close to the body, it's very difficult to remove at all). If a guy has an axe in his hand, it's easy enough to clip or saw off the top to be flush with his hand, drill a hole and then add a sword blade or something instead. Guns make that process very difficult if possible at all; a lot of times you have to replace the whole arm, which is more work than you want unless you're planning to either use the mini a lot or put it on display. Not to mention, you have to find a suitable arm replacement, or sculpt one yourself.

I feel your pain, STL...
Unfortunately, I'm a novice when it comes to minis. I'm the guy for whom they made the D&D minis; they definitely made using minis for my D&D games much more accessible. Unfortunately, that's not the case here- I've started a Mutants and Masterminds campaign where the "heroes" start as ordinary kids. They're about to see their powers really "turn on," and the fights are going to end up being pretty tactical. Minis will help, but I was hoping to find something that fit for the "coolness" factor. Weapons of any kind just wouldn't fit- every one of the kids is unarmed (although they'll end up fighting armed enemies pretty soon).
I'm considering going the stand-up route, or doing something similar. That might fit well with the concept of the campaign...
My needs aside- I think there's a good, if niche, market for modern minis, accessories, and support materials in general. Anytime I've looked the pickings have been pretty slim.

They are hard to find, although there are some good resources out there. Sadly one good line was the Call of Cthulhu line, which has disappeared (at least since last I looked). Chronoscope is definitely the best IMO but it's a "youngish" line so they're only getting their variety going. Other places to look are at places like the Warstore--there are some lesser known modern/future skirmish games that have some good minis, though again, a lot of these come "pre-armed" in a way that it is not easy to remove the unwanted weapons.
Since you're doing a supers campaign, another idea to play with is to look for some used Heroclix minis, hopefully stuff that someone's trying to sell off cheap. While most of these are already supers in their superhero gear, they're still decent minis, plus they're already prepainted and everything.

I used to play Heroclix and did use the minis for that. Unfortunately I found that a lot of time the base was just a little too big for the squares on the map.

Well, M&M doesn't necessarily use grid-based combat, so it's not a problem like it would be in D&D/PFRPG.
I can understand why it might annoy, but it doesn't make them unusable.
