Final Playtest Errata

Product Discussion

Ladies and Gents of Pathfinder Messageboards,

As I understand, the current version of the APG PDF is not the final print version, and there have been a number of "corrections" by the staff at Paizo.

Now, I'm one paranoid hombre. Ever since I read True Mutagen actually gives a +8 Alchemical to physical abilities instead of +6 (as well as -2 to mental abilities), I've been wondering if I've missed other important "corrections."

So, again, while I understand that the current PDF version is not the final, are there any others corrections to the final playtest that have been announced, that are not in the current PDF?

Nope that's pretty much it. All of the other major changes are included in the "Final Version."

You could dig deep into archive boards, but I don't remember anything else for Alchemists being Errata'd after the "Final Version".

Well alright, let's broaden that a little then to make some use outta this thread; is there anything beyond alchemist that isn't in the current PDF?

Edited the first post to reflect this change in subject.

Well lots of alchemical items, a portable alchemist lab, feats (one I saw was Point Blank Master), and a Prestige class called Master Chemist.

Wait what? Christ, if your trolling, your doing a fantastic job.

Nope, the items and portable lad were confirmed in the Playtest. Nothing was revealed about them though. I spotted the other details in the product description.

Advanced Players Guide

@#$% your right! It DOES say that!

Dark Archive

At the Advanced Player's Guide Banquet at PaizoCon this weekend, the following changes to the APG classes were mentioned:

1) The summoner will be able to summon his or her eidolon more than once per day, but won't be able to summon the eidolon while other summons are hanging out, or vice versa (no other summons while the eidolon is present). It will be an either/or mechanic. You either get the eidolon or the other summons, but not both simultaneously.

2) Oracle curses will work better for multi-class characters, scaling in some way with levels in other classes, though they still won't work as well when multi-classing as they do when a player chooses only to play an oracle.

3) The witch's familiar and the bonus spells it currently grants are going to be conceptually divorced, allowing players to choose a power source and a familiar, gaining whatever familiar benefit they want AND whatever bonus spell list they want.

4) Inquisitor judgments will no longer take several turns to set-up. Instead, the benefits provided by each judgment will scale with number of class levels, but provide their full current benefit on the first round of use, allowing the inquisitor to quickly switch between them with maximum effectiveness.

None of these changes are in effect until the APG officially releases, of course, but I figured it was relevant information. The alchemist and cavalier didn't have any interesting mechanical changes brought up as far as I remember, though there are apparently a lot of new discoveries for the alchemist coming out in this book.

I have a level 2 Summoner in my Kingmaker PbP game who essentially has 7 attacks a round. This makes sense to me.
