The Hottest Iconics

Liberty's Edge

The votes are in. Over the past week, the votes for hottest Iconics have been collected in this thread. The results are here!

Our categories were:

Hottest male Iconic: Valeros, the hunky human fighter. With Sajan the Monk our runner up.

Hottest female Iconic: Surprisingly enough, Amiri was voted the hottest of the female Iconics, with Seoni the sorcere coming in second.

Most talented Iconic: Our voters chose Lem the Bard the most talented Iconic character, with Merisiel the runner up.

Most likely to be eaten by a monster: Lem will have trouble accepting his award for most talented Iconic, as he is also the winner of the Most likely to be eaten by a monster award. Regards to the tentacles dragging him away.

Lem is joined in the Aboleth's stomach by Valeros, the runner up for most likely monster fodder.

Finally, of the new Iconics introduced in the Paizo blog, the Human Witch was voted the hottest. The runner up was the Inquisitor. Yay for half-orc love!

Am I the only one who voted for Harsk?

Actually no. Harsk was third place in the hottest male category. Right after Sajan.

Ezren, Seltyiel, and Lem tied for last place.

go Amiri!

I have to wonder how Amiri would react to this. (And how Seoni would react to losing to her.)

Maximised enhanced Lightning bolt is my guess..followed swiftly by Expeditious Retreat as Amiri evades the bolt and comes after her with that sword

our boards have some poor taste in attractiveness lol.

Actually, I doubt Amiri or Seoni would care one way or the other.

What? :D

Seriously though, amiri may be tough but I can't stand a girl who walks around looking like a mean spirited idiot (sorry that expression she has on her default face kills any attraction I would have for her)

Should probably avoid claiming others have "poor taste" as someone might construe it as an insult, LKL. "Different" is not the same as "poor".

and if I hadn't intended to insult tastes in imaginary characters I wouldn't have used poor, but as I fully intended to insult the preference of imaginary women, I'm quite happy with the words I chose :P.

If you like ugly imaginary women more power to you, I'm still gonna tell you the baby is ugly.

(and my tone has been tongue in cheek confrontational through the voting process and now the decision making process, this is supposed to be a beauty pagent, haven't you ever been creeped out by the parents in todlers and tiaras?)

No, but I've also never been to one, or watched one on TV, or anything of that sort :P

That created a rather amusing image of Amiri as a toddler with a tiara...and a claymore.

Although, maybe Amiri won because she's the only one that we'd have to worry about pulling our arms out of our sockets if she loses.

We took the good strategy: let the barbarian win.

Still, as long as we're imagining, here's some food for thought: Amiri is a strong, independent woman that succeeded in a man's world (tribe) when the men LITERALLY tried to kill her off, while ridiculing her the entire way. She excelled due to wits, personal courage and a healthy dose of righteous anger. She's still succeeding as well. If that isn't admirable, beautiful (she is athletic and has a certain flair of panache in her dress) and worthy of acknowledgment.

Aside from that whole killing a bunch of her tribesman thing, but really, that was like, one time...and, no, um, you were perfectly justified, and and and completely..oh god! Please put the sword dow...

That would be all well and good if we were having a personality competition. And I'm not saying that amiri doesn't have some points that make her attractive, but how you present yourself is important. Seriously go to your mirror and make the same face she's making (pull your lips back so that both rows of teeth are exposed, and tell me you think that makes you attractive. Then remember that's her default expression.

Which makes her win all the more impressive. Face it, even with that expression, she still pulled in more voes than Seoni or any of the others.

Amiri making her fierce face > Seoni trying hard

Oh I admit that it speaks to her ability to win, but I think it speaks more on the taste level of the guys who voted for her :D

I think gamers just want a girl who they think they stand a shot with lol. Amiri is probably the girl who won't mess around and just date whoever the hell she likes while the others look like they'd be the stuck up popular types most gamers never stand a chance with lol.

You do realize that these are both fictional characters?

Presumably, Amiri isn't always making that face.

I voted for Seoni, but I'm OK with Amiri. I like athletic women. I voted for Seoni because she's exotic-looking and has really good legs.

Wonder if there are any sexual benefits to the rage ability...

Boost to Constitution probably counts. Depending on the physical capabilities of the partner, it's either aided or negated by the Strength boost.

... wow i cant believe i just typed that

I know the poll is over, but you know. Thinking about it. There really should have been a male and female for the new iconics as well as male and female for the gods as well.

S'ok. We had a female frenzied berserker and the male party fighter suffer some serious int and wis damage (feeblemind or something like it), and we figured that, er, their animal brains sort of took over during and after the fight, you know, crossing off the 4 F's... And with the full power of her rage (she managed to stop the frenzy), she was still a dangerous...'opponent.' ;) Plus, it reduced the sexual tension in the party...

Ah, good times. Weird times. But good.

I thought that was odd as well...

What about supporting characters (profiled NPCs, prestige classes, etc.)?

Dark Archive

maybe paizo could make a full page pic of Amiri looking "happy" or "nice" (maybe even with a crown?) as her price for winning this beauty pagent?

(or if not paizo then one of the many Amiri fans out there that can draw?)

i imagine her sitting and drinking like a good barbarian when they tell she wons... taking the price without much interest but if its a cup taking it and asking for more wine in it.

Amiri wouldn't care if she wins or lose a beauty cotnest.. she knowsshe can kill everyone of the contenders so she is comfortable with that.

it depends in what is needed of your job

Amiri's job doesn'k for looking cute.. it ask for killing the most people in front.. doing it while looking fearsome means people shaken and cut without fighitng back or actually running away...

so her expression is part of her job attire... i can imagine her looking less stressed in a more casual situation

Ah. Just found out their names.

So for hottest new Iconic we have Feiya, the Chaotic Good Desna-worshipping witch.

The runner up is Imrijka, the NG half-orc Inquisitor of Pharasma.

To nitpick, the question wasn't "Which random character in a bit of PF art do you find most attractive?" It was "Which Pathfinder ICONIC do you find most attractive?" It's akin to answering "blue" to the question "What's your favorite number?"

Besides, if we open it up to non-iconic characters, Lavender Lil beats the hell out of both of those options.

Actually, that does open up an interresting topic though. Do the Prestige Class examples also count as Iconics?

Seltyiel, as the iconic Eldrich Knight, does muddy the waters here.

If so, then the Master Spy would count, even if Shuriken Nekogami is coloring outside the lines here.

Liberty's Edge

I thought to include Seltyiel because he has a name and a backstory, and has been toted as the "iconic multiclass" character. Nothing's really been said about the other prestige class characters, although they aren't bad looking.

I don't think a character qualifies as "an Iconic" until they have a name and backstory. The APG characters were okay with this, as we all knew they had them coming but simply not released yet, but so far Seltyiel seems to be the only Prestige Class Iconic - IE, only character with a name and backstory tied to a PrC as an example. Everyone else is a base class, and all the rest of the PrC "characters" have no given information so I'm not sure they qualify as "Iconics" yet.

Brunettes ftw!

Though I actually prefer Space Amiri to Barbarian Amiri.

And if it were just any character to appear in random PF art, it'd be whoever this is: http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/File:Heretic.jpg
