Don’t Forget list

I have never been on a trip that I didn’t forget something. Sometimes it’s no big deal; I can buy new deodorant or a new razor. However, gaming supplies are harder to replace. Who wants to spend $25 on map tiles you have back home or regenerate your pregenerated characters? While I was putting together a list of items I can’t forget, I figured other people might want to do the same thing. Maybe I’ve already forgotten to add something to my Don’t Forget list and seeing it on someone else’s list will remind me.

• Dice;
• Pack of pencils;
• Thin binder of loose leaf;
• Pregenerated characters for both games;
• Miniatures for pregenerated characters;
• Miniatures for NPCs;
• Adventure printed out;
• Gaming paper map;
• Forest flipmap;
• Conflict map;
• Netbook with Conflict RPG Rulebook pdf;
• PFRPG Core Rulebook
• Bestiary;
• GM Screen.

We’ll see if the list gets bigger.

After working in the hotel industry for almost 10 years, there are 2 things I have to contribute:

-It's not a trip unless you've forgotten something.

-When you're checking out of the hotel, look inside, under, and behind everything in the hotel room.

Scarab Sages

Don't forget your copy of Seekers of Secrets if you are running a PFS scenario.

Ummmm... passport (for those outside the US)? I know it's not gaming materials, but might come in handy! ;)

Scarab Sages

The weather looks like it will be fine. Probably no need to remember an umbrella.

Tam

Cookies! Must not forget cookies or a goodie basket for my hostesses.

Your digital camera....seriously, you want to have pictures for the memories of all the great times.

I have an extra big memory card in mine, and it takes video too! I may be no Josh Frost, but I do have pictures of all years of PaizoCon thus far.

That's a idea, perhaps we should do a flicker of PaizoCon. Chances are that everyone there will get more than a few other PaizonCon attendees in thier pictures and that would be an easy way to share.

Just do a search for "PaizoCon" on flickr....138 photos! Both years!

Still...yeah, it'd be a cool idea.

That list looks very light on alcohol.

Your momma

Erik's already coming.

That's because they have a ton of it on sale in the strategically located hotel bar!

If you're GMing Pathfinder Society scenarios, you better bring:

Pencils
Dice
Core Rulebook
Dice
Miniatures for monsters; extras for PCs
Dice
Bestiary
Dice
Seekers of Secrets
Dice
GM screen (optional)
Dice (not optional)
Flip-Mat: Basic
Dice

and dice.

Oh, and a print-out of the v2.2 of the Guide, a printout of the traits document, a print out of your scenario(s) and their respective faction handouts, and dice.

And a printout of the Final APG Playtest !

and dice...

Will you be providing dice, or should we bring our own?

Also, instead of dice, can we just roll a bunch of times, record the results on a piece of paper, and then use that?

  • ID (Passport)
  • Cash for emergencies
  • Hotel name(address/location)
  • Medications, if any.
  • Anything you've promised to bring someone.
  • Costume, if any. [no weapons!]

    Gorbacz wrote:

    That's up to players to bring actually.

  • Wayfinders

    Of course, if you forget your dice, we'll be happy to *sell* you some dice....

    This has probably been brought up before, but: Why not put the traits in the Guide to Organized Play?

    Yeah, only that's at Washington liquor prices. I’ll be stocking up at the local Bevmo before flying in. The Booze must flow.

    Yes that's of, providing that you cut up the numbers and paste them to your dice.

    I somehow get the feeling that we could buy them at the Con...

    P.S. Anyone else think Paizo is trying to leave dice off the list? Hmmm....

    You know, this could be a very useful thread if it wasn't so silly. Important items remain, like toothbrush/paste!

    Just don't forget your dice.

    Yes, please. By all means, cite the items that contribute to proper hygiene. Soap, shampoo, toothbrush/paste, deodorant, etc. Please don't forget those...even if the hotel provides some of them. ;-)

    Or, heck, soap with dice in them!

    Dark Archive

    that must be the most popular item in a con, or at least it should be

    Scarab Sages

    Baby wipes are always on my "don't forget" list.

    Bottles of hand sanitizer are a must, as well.

    Or, you know, take a shower every day and wash your hands frequently.

    Insufficient. :-)

    Actually, hand sanitizer is a great equalizer to fend off the con crud that typically hits attendees on their way back home.

    So's drinking lots of water and a packet of Emergen-C. :D

    They have an app for that! No, seriously, I'm not going to be there, and my playing is limited to pbp, but is there anyone using a dice app instead of real dice? I'm just curious.

    It's not really an "either/or" thing. I believe in using every weapon at my disposal...simultaneously. ;-)

    Added to the list, a charger and USB cable for every electronic device I bring with me.

    They have an app for that, too!

    (Surely, they must by now...)

    So sanitizing your dice would probably be a good idea huh?(grin)

    You know, grain alcohol kills gems good too! Oh, and lots of smoking. My method is generally leading a lifestyle unfit for any proper germs.

    -
    -
    -

    Add to list:

    fighting chalk
    brass knuckles
    prison soap (with dice inside)

    Scarab Sages

    * Any books or stuff you want signed by Paizo Staff

    * enough clothes to wear clean clothes every day OR enough quarters to buy detergent and wash/dry your clothes at the hotel.

    * Pajamas or other sleepwear for those sharing rooms.

    * snacks in case you don't have time to actually eat between games

    * DEODORANT!! or...money to buy deodorant when you get there.

    * hair brush/comb

    * bottled water - to prevent dehydration

    * phone/iPod/laptop/iPad/etc chargers

    Grand Lodge

    And don't forget your list. Wouldn't that suck after all the work we put into it?

    Liberty's Edge

    Are there quarter laundry machines on site at the hotel?
