Just got my hands on a copy!
I'm very impressed!
(Nice work Mr.McCreary!)
A few questions (before I dissect it):
1) Where does this story land in the chronology of Season 1 (if at all)?
2) Is it in the PFS system for event creation/reporting?
3) Is it a normal 5 hour slot?
4) Cake or Pi? ;)
Thanks in advance.
Now to the Nom-Nom!

1.) It doesn't. It serves as a beginner adventure for any season.
2.) It's not supposed to be in anyone's hands yet. So no. :-/3.) Yep.
5.) Both.

Wait!
Are you saying that the Free RPG day is PFS-compatible!? Really!? I'll have to run or play that!!!
Any info would be appreciated because I've been telling people that I did not believe the event was PFS-related!JP
Go here. The description says it serves as an introduction to PFS play.

Are the pregenerated characters from Master of the Fallen Fortress considered acceptable for Society use? After the scenario is unveiled, will they be permitted as pregenerated characters for other scenarios?
This is a weird question to answer since the pregens for Society play are different than the pregens for normal play.
So I'll say, for the purposes of playing Master of the Fallen Fortress, the pregens in the back are playable for that adventure for Society play. My intent is to have those four pregens statted out for Society play and online for download when Gen Con starts. That way we'll have 8 pregens to choose from instead of 4.

Do we need to play this with a brand-new PFS character, or may we use a 1st level PC with one or two scenarios under their belt already?
I second this question, as I am playing this at PaizoCon and I have the opportunity to play my brand-new PFS character this Saturday, before PaizoCon.

Hey Josh,
The module description says that it comes with a pregen for each of the six new classes, so did you mean to say six instead of four or are you only planning on making four of the six legal? And if so, which two pregens from the new classes will not be making the transition to PFS legality?

Now to see who (maybe Mark) is doing this in NYC.

I'd be happy to run it, since I'll be getting the hard copy in my PaizoCon goodie bag. Compleat Strategist registered too late for Free RPG Day this year and all the kits were called for already, so they won't be giving copies out. I'll be in Seattle working at Paizo offices the week following PaizoCon, but can easily run this for the group the first Wednesday in July.

I really need to know sometime tonight if the Level 1 character has to be brand new or if it can have already played one scenario.
From Josh's post earlier in this thread:
If it comes with 6 pregens, then great! I'll make six. :-)
This adventure must be played with a fresh, never-before-played, level 1. It's a lead-in to joining the Society, which wouldn't make any sense if you were already a member of the Society ...

I'm running it on the 19th at my FLGS...
You'll get access to the pdf on Monday after PaizoCon and to the hardcopy when your FLGS gives it to you, unless you purchase it from Paizo the week after Free RPG Day. It was only provided this week to GMs who need to prep it to run at PaizoCon next week.

We'll see about getting the chronicle sheet put up on the website before Saturday so that folks running at their FLGS for Free RPG Day can have it available. I sense a meeting with Josh and Erik this morning! :)

How about adding the Pre Generated Characters to that download to?

Josh,
A question about the chronicle sheet and DMs who burn the adventure. One of my local judges wants to know (and that kinda got me thinking).
He plans to "burn" the mod and run it without playing it. Can he put the sheet he will receive on one of his other 1st levels that have received a chronicle already.
I know players must have brand-new characters, but what about the DM?

Yes, the six pregens are the new iconics for the new classes, and yes, Josh said in another thread that he would be making them all official PFS pregens to make a total of 10 to choose from once he makes them legal for play.
