To anyone playing in either of these scenarios, I believe the event sign-up text states that pregens will be provided. I should probably clarify:
Pregens *WILL* be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own character as well. Characters should be built using PF rules, 20-point buy, standard gear. Feel free to use existing characters as well, with the caveat that excessively twinky or cheaterous characters (the judgment of which is the sole purview of the DM) have a strange magnetic attraction for unfortunate events... :)
COLD MOUNTAIN is for 4th level characters. It's mostly outdoorsy, so feel free to build to that end.
DAYS... is for 13th level characters. It's set up around a grand tournament, and there will be the traditional jousting and archery events (with a twist, of course), but there are also events for other classes and types of characters. There also are some NPC competitors, and some events at the tournament that are of a more... interesting variety. Suffice to say, pretty much any kind of character will have something to do.
THE RULES (for both sessions)
1. No evil characters.
2. No characters whose personality boils down to "I'm a jerk, deal with it!"
3. No Chronic Backstabbing Disorder - your PCs don't have to be nicey-nice Pollyana types, but you are supposed to be working together most of the time. Unless you suddenly go criminally insane or something... just sayin...
It would probably save time if you could either post your intended character or email it to me at tjadenjason at gmail dot com so I can vet the character ahead of time and/or make suggestions in reply.

Hi!
My son and I are in your Days game. Here is what we are thinking:
I would love to try out a straight on high level fighter. I've been iching to try all those cool, high level fighter only feats etc.
My son would like to play a wizard - ideally a neutral one specialized in necromancy.
Would these be OK? Assuming so, will you want us to post the actual characters here or e-mail them to you so you can fully vet them?
Thanks! Can't wait!

Those should both be fine. You can post them or email them.
Also...
Just to save time you should calculate your attack bonuses both WITH all of your stuff, and separately assuming that you have normal equipment rather than your preferred magical gear, as there may be occasions when you will be using normal stuff in the contests.

Question regarding spending wealth and magic items for the high level Day game. After arriving at the appropriate wealth for a 13th level character, do you have any limitations on how that wealth is spent? No more than 50% of the total on any one item for instance? Use the % breakdown on the NPC chart? Anything goes - spend it how ever you like? ;)
Thanks!

I'd say the 50% one item rule is probably a good one. You needn't follow the NPC chart, though it's not bad advice to generalize rather than putting all your eggs in one basket.

Sounds like we (sadly) have two open seats for "Days... " so come on down. I don't know what room it's in, but if memory serves the event is at 8:00 AM on Saturday.
Sounds like you're in!
W00t - Confirmed. See you at 8am on Sat ~D

Why hello there, Stan here. Jeff. Whatever.
I'll be glad to attend the 8am session... for GLORY! (And a bit of wine, no thanks on the roses)
I'm thinking of either making a ranger or fighter for the event, with a dash of prestige class, if that's alright. Still contemplating race and a bit of backstory.
Regarding the actual stats, I'll be able to send them your way within 48 hours. I've got a few things to attend to at the moment, but will squeeze time to make create him whenever I can. :)

Here is the character; I haven't done extensive QA but I think I got it mostly right (20pnt buy, 140k wealth);
Morgant de Ganis, The Wandering Knight -> CLICK HERE
My email is <my_avatar_name> at aol dot com.
Cheers and see you Sat.
