I am trying to get ready to run my crew through the Thorn's End part of A Memory of Darkness. In preparation I was trying to print out the upper floors of Thorn's End. Here is what I was doing: using Windows 7, SomePDF Image converter, and PosteRazor I tried printing the artwork from the PDF of the Upper floors. In the PDF from SomePDF the upper floor page is separated into segments. However, when I went to try putting it together there were sections of the diagram missing.
My solution was to scan the diagram from the Map Folio into the computer then use PosteRazor to segment the diagram and tape it together. BTW to get a 1" square I used a setting of 6 squares in PosteRazor. That totaled out to 42 pages.
Just thought I would let others know about this problem I ran into.
I don't think that's a mistake - the structure doesn't go up to those levels in every place (that's why it's separated). I did the same thing (except printed just from Paint). Cutting it out and taping it together gave me something to do in stats class :)
Majuba, when I printed it out and tried to put it together there was noting for the #4 slot of a 3 across layout. Looking at the diagram where the outer curtain wall connects to the main building there wasn't a piece that matched it. There was just a blank.
As I said I found a way around that problem. I just need a separate table just to hold that map. LOL
I am so glad someone told the boards about SomePDF and PosteRazor as I am a terrible artist. I even screw up stick figures.
Allow me to clarify my earlier posts. The mistake was mine. I had neglected to notice that the diagrams in the AP were set at a scale of 1" = 10 feet. So even what I tried to do with SomePDF and PosteRazor would not have worked because the map would have turned out to be bigger than my studio apt. So I will just have to fake it come game time. Thank you for listening, and if any Paizo staff run across this thread you have my request to delete it.
