I would like to do Human Inquisitor. The Inquisitor Spell list has a good mix of Divine/ Arcane spells. Plus, I like the Idea of being a Traveling Hunter of all things Wicked.
I'll make up an Alias and post the Character today.
Thanks for giving me the Chance to play in your Game!

I was thinking about a dwarf monk, but if we need an arcane caster I am up for that.
DM JZ - Would Sunday be earlier enough for the character sheet? How do I get it to you? I am not really clear on many of the aspects of PBP.
Here on Paizo you can create aliases for your account. This will allow you to post as a character of your making, as I am doing now.
If you click on Yuhm Yuhm's avatar you will get the alias profile. We place our characters sheets in this profile page.
Sunday is fine. We might start the game earlier than that, but it would be purely roleplay and you could participate without a completed character sheet.

Rondu -The Round Mound of Pound |

JZ - Bragol here with my character. Rondu (The round mound of pound) is a dwarf monk.
Please take a look at my character sheet and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement.
If our party has a particular weakness that we need to fill, I am willing to change.

Hey DM JZ, terribly sorry but I just got assigned additional duties at work (but no additional pay... yay salary!). My availability for the next 2 weeks is shot so I am going to bow out now as I don't want to slow the game down. Thank you very much for the offer to play, and I really want to, but I will have to wait until your next game. Sorry again if this delays this game everyone, but I am thinking you will get a replacement pretty quickly. Like I said, I would rather bow out now than slow the game down for everyone else....

Thanks for bringing me in JZ. I'm thinking a Gnome Sorcerer, Fey Bloodline at this point.
I've started a new alias for him and have worked a little on the profile, but I have a question. I noticed one of the crew is using the Myth-weavers sheet and I was wondering which way you would like it done. The myth-weavers one certainly seems easier to use. I have him all done up pencil and paper style, just need to transfer it all over.
Is the sorcerer a good idea, or would you guys rather have a cleric/druid of some kind? I see we're a little lacking in that area... :-)

Looks like we got the martial and arcane roles filled. I don't mind covering for a divine caster, since I was allowed in at the last minute.
Since my experiences of PFS scenarios show that they're designed for bunch of semi-moral thieving b'tards, I don't think a druid is a great fit in a lot of them. And I'd like to stretch a bit from playing clerics. Does anyone object to me testing the Oracle?
(race and mystery still under consideration)

Rondu -The Round Mound of Pound |

Hey Snorter - I am in the US (Florida), so you are about 5-6 hours ahead of me.
You are making a divine caster - right? I saved some money from my character creation and would be willing to pitch in for a wand of cure light wounds. I have found that such a wand can really help a low-level party.
I imagine that this kind of pooling for resources will have to wait until we meet up in-character.
Does anybody else have any cash left that they woul dbe willing to contribute toward a wand of cure light?

Thanks for the offer, Rondu. I may just need it!
I wasn't aiming for anything silly, like 10 different wands, each with 5 charges.
But a wand of Cure Light is 750gp*, fully charged, which is a large chunk from the budget of a level 2 PC, especially for something that is more party treasure than individual power.
Our usual party tactics, at level 1 and 2, are to rely on a found wand, with reduced charges, and/or for everyone to pitch in for a new one at the first opportunity. Either way, it's unlikely to still be in its wrapper.
The other I had my eye on was hopefully a wand of Inflict Light**, again, half empty, though I'm happy to cover the full cost of that one myself. This is for those emergencies, when we're up against someone heavily armoured, since even though I can use a decent weapon, I don't expect to hit jack with it.
* Yes, I've just checked PFSRD; I could have sworn the prices were supposed to go up, to compensate for no longer costing xp.
**Hmmm, opposites in each hand. Maybe I should tattoo 'Love' and 'Hate' on my knuckles, like Robert Mitchum in 'Night of the Hunter'?

Character concept is a half-orc Oracle of Bone; a former dig porter, cursed with a non-infectious wasting, for digging in Things Man Was Not Meant To See.
He survived, but at the cost of his good looks, and then attempted to become a full Pathfinder to search other tombs for a cure.
He'll put down the undead, and will try to leave bodies undisturbed, but has no sentimental view of grave goods, believing they don't go to the afterlife, so should be used by the living.
Are we all assumed to be Pathfinders, or are you simply using the scenario because it's short?

I was going to buy a half-charged wand of Cure, and a half-charged wand of Inflict (375 gp each), maybe masterwork greataxe, masterwork chain shirt and a few potions and scrolls.
Since I was assuming PFSoc creation rules, I was limiting myself to core, low-level arms, armor and consumables. No expectation of having unlocked any wondrous items.
{EDIT} Just checked; the equipment limit is 1000gp, not 2000gp! Doh!
Forget the m/w gear, drop the charges on the wands a bit.
I realise I get more spells known than I thought; the decision to know all cures or all inflicts, up to max spell level known, is made at level 1. This decision really hinges on whether you apply the results of class abilities and feats to spells from trigger items, or whether they only apply to the ones you cast from your own head. If it's the former, I'll go for cures, if the latter, I may go for inflicts.

Rondu -The Round Mound of Pound |

DM JZ - I have never played PBP and have a few questions.
I think you mentioned that this adventure would take about 2 months.
1 - In that time will we be going up level? How far do you think we will advance?
2 - Do you intend to continue a series of adventures (campaign) with this group of characters?
3 - If this is a 1-shot adventure, is there any ability for us to continue with the same charatcer (and treasure acquired form this adventure) in other PBP adventures?
4 - It seems like combat would be difficult in PBP, how is that handled?
5 - I have not provided Rondu with much background, beyond a brief character description. Is that sufficent or would you like more?
Thanks for helping a PBP n00b.

There's no official best way to run a PbP; there are as many ways as in a tabletop game.
The more detail you want, the longer it takes, but that may be a good thing, since everyone knows they have to post, for the benefit of the others to keep moving.
Check out the sticky thread at the top of this parent forum, it's got lots of comments from the old hands.

@Rondu; check out the spoiler tag below the text box, when you write a note. It's got all the common commands for bold, italic, out of character, and dice.
It also allows you to hide secret stuff in a box, with a
Doesn't stop anyone looking in it, but at least they get a warning.
