Hi everyone,

I thought you might all be interested in the latest episode of Mirage Arcana where we interview James Jacobs. Many thanks to James for agreeing to set aside some time for us. The overview of the episode is:

- What ‘old school’ influences guided the creation of Kingmaker?
- Kingdom building and mass combat
- Can you still adventure whilst running a kingdom?
- What makes an exploration campaign a different experience?
- Tips and tricks for your exploration game
- What does the near future hold for Pathfinder?

Hope you all enjoy it - feedback is always welcome. It is available from http://miragearcana.podbean.com

Thanks very much - some of the best material was that which just cropped up and I that interview managed to exponentially grow my Wish List. :)

Also, thanks to those who fixed my linkage issues in the original post - it is much appreciated.

I did enjoy that. If anything because Aussies sound funny... :D

I actually found it very good listening. It was good hearing the thoughts behind the campaign from the horse's mouth so to speak. I enjoyed the part on exploration and kingdom building a lot. James got through with how the two workout with adventuring in a much more clear way than #31 the Stolen Lands (thats as far as we have come to date).

PS: @ Mirage Arcana: I could not get the Rating stars to work.

I'll look into this for you, (not sure if it is enabled with the basic package) and post when it is fixed.

Likewise, I'll be submitting the podcast to iTunes. Essentially we wanted to ensure that we had something worth sharing before doing so.

Thanks everyone.

It's actually the rest of the world that sounds funny. We and the English have it right. :)

I enjoyed the podcast.

- After listening to so many US & Canadian podcasts our Aussie accent does sound different.

So where in Australia are you guys based?

Excellent podcast guys - really insightful and useful Q & A provided [especially the tips on running Kingmaker as I'm about to do just that] - will defo be listening in again :)

Cheers

BD

Great podcast! The kind of stuff I wanted to hear about.

Is the info on the advanced player's guide a scoop? Swamp/Desert/Jungle druids sound quite interesting...

I have one player already planning the creation of a principality.

Not too far away from Brisbane. It has been amazing to see a number of Australians e-mail us with similar comments since we started. Where are you based?

Thanks! I'm not sure if it was 'a scoop' it just kind of cropped up whilst we were talking. However, as you heard, it sounds like a very cool sourcebook. I'm intending on picking one up soon.

Whilst James was running through the classes, and he outlined the Inquisitor, Allan was shaking his head at me - he knew that once I'd heard that class, I probably wasn't paying too much attention to anything else. Remember folks, nothing cleanses like fire.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the episode.

Sydney - My parents live in Coorparoo though, and I grew up in Ballina.

Have a look at the play test classes - they are available in a free down load - I am playing a witch and having a blast.

I just don't remember reading much details on the new class variants and this bit was nice to know since it is what I'm expecting/wanting in this kind of sourcebook ;)

I already smell the witches burning

Very enjoyable podcast. I learned quite a bit about Kingmaker (before I knew just a bit). Now I can't wait to get a copy. I've always wanted something like kingdom building ever since I saw Stronghold Builder's Guidebook for 3.0.

I also like the music at the start and the end. I downloaded it for my playlist at home. :)
