Hi - My son and I were lucky enough to get two seats for this game. Jason, I hope you don't mind my starting this thread, but I had a few questions and this seemed like a good way for those that will be playing to stay in contact.
My questions ... I just noticed that the write up for this game actually does not indicate the class level (unless I'm just completely missing it!)
Also, can we assume you will be providing pregens? If so, maybe you can give us some idea what they are and we can try to pick them now so we have more time to play?
Thanks!

I'm actually still considering how best to structure the event, because it involves a mega-tourney... but the EVENTS within the tourney are designed for different classes or characters with different foci. There are sample competitors pregens for each contest, and I am weighing the idea of PLAYERS swapping or choosing randomly which characters they use in each event, and the prizes (IRL) being awarded based on which PLAYER does the best with the various characters they are given.
I think I'd be willing to allow people to bring in their own outside characters as well... any character around 12th-14th level is fine (if you want to make one for the event, you could make one 13th level, 20 point buy, standard gear). There'll be something in the tournament to appeal to them, NO MATTER WHAT CLASS THEY ARE. Some will be better suited to certain events than others, but the events are tests of creativity and strategy (and a little luck as well), not just raw killpower and number crunching.
I'll post some more information later, but I think I am leaning towards letting people bring their own characters; the pregens in this case can be opponents for the events that anyone can play.
In sum: The basics of the scenario are all in place. The structure of how exactly the players will run through it is still being hammered out!
