A new player proposed me to play an artificer, but the name of the class doesn't suit me .
Can you give me an alternate name for this class to use in Golarion ?
And , from which nation of Golarion can come , to make a interesting story ?
We have a warforged artificer in our runelords game.
We tied his crafting to Thassilonian magic (and also his being a warforged) as they found him at the bottom of Thistletop.
I recommend you have a look at the Ardwright from the Pathfinder Database. It was designed by my brother/player and a lot of the changes from the Artificer came from reconciling powers that have to change for PPRPG (like XP breaks for crafting). Basically it is the artificer class with an alternate name, updated for PRPG, and with a touch more balance for campaigns with less magic than Eberron (most of them).
