Hey all, I'm currently running an LoF PbP for 5-6 players and we just recently lost our cleric. Don't worry, if he miraculously come back, you won't lose your spot. The game has been quite fun and the players are currently 2nd level. They are currently clearing out a Monastery, so the main gist of the adventure, i.e. the recapture of a village from the hands of gnolls, is next, so an introduction to a new character would fit perfectly. 20 point buy, 2 traits, Player's Handbook races (unless your backstory for another race blows me away). What else? Be able to post frequently, usually more than 1x day.
Here is the thread, if you want to skim through what has already occurred: Link
You can post your application/concept here or e-mail it to me at:
Any other questions, let me know. Depending on the volume of responses, I will keep this thread open until Tuesday, unless I come on and post otherwise. Thanks!

One question for you, you mention 20 point buy (which makes me think you are using the Pathfinder rules, but speak of Player's Handbook races. The second part makes me think that you might be running LoF in the original 3.5 version. Just checking on the situation for that. Thanks for reply.
Happy gaming.

I'm one of the members of the current group. It's Pathfinder core rulebook, and he's thrown in lots of curves to the AP so far. It's been a rather fun game.

Thanks for the answer Sniggevert. I thought that was the way, but just wanted to make sure I was working from the correct assumption.
Happy gaming.

Hi there. I just have not had the time to get around to working on the character in depth today. I have been tossing some ideas around about a Cleric of Saranrae, but nothing concrete. I won't have any time to figure things out tomorrow, since when I get up I go and pick up some friends and then DM all day until I drive them home. I can work on things on Sunday, but if you fill the slot before then I wish you guys the best game.
Happy gaming.

To all current and future applicants, maybe I was not clear, but when I asked for a character concept, I wanted something more in depth. Here's some more background info: The adventure takes place in a desert setting near Katapesh, where the party has been sent to recapture a village from the hands of gnolls. What is your character doing in the desert? How are you surviving? What is your backstory? A description would help as well. As a DM, I am a very visual person and like to find and add cool images to my posts, when warranted. Hope that helps!

Just what I forgot - alignment: LN, but channeling positive energy.
To myself: I can post regularly, browser window is usually open all day, even with being a bit out of a timezone it works well (I live in Scotland). Experience as a player: played years (IIRC ~6 years) in an Earthdawn PbP game, which folded because of RL issues with the other players. And posting rate was around 2-3x per day, even with players from US and Australia. I like to get into my character, through interaction with players and the environment. And you won't lose me, as said, I stay in for years....
