Nope, not out of line.. and correct... and in 3.5 rules, you got a feat at 1st, 3rd, 6th, 9th, etc... which means with 3 HD, he should have two feats. I'm assuming the second one was a Skill Focus (Hide), but I was wondering if anybody had ever caught it or if it was erata'd
