4E players, I feel for you.
Maybe because Andy was the head of R&D and the driving force behind the regular errata updates? If you want to continue to be a fantastic game, then you should feel concern when they lose key developers.
Greg Bilsland is also a big part of the errata process, and is still on board. I have gotten the very strong impression that regular errata is a big part of their current plan for D&D, though apparently the updates are going to become much smaller once they finish mopping up the changes that need to be made to the books and rules printed in the first year. I expect that once the Rules Compendium is released, the errata will become sparser and will focus more on DDI articles than it does right now.

Of course they have someone else taking over the job, that wasn't the point.
The point is they seem to hemorrhage veteran developers, and although it's not going to be the end of the world as we know it, I still feel that the departure a department lead that's been with the company for 14 years is a loss for both Wizards and the end user. Hence: I feel for 4th edition players, myself included. And if you don't... well, it still won't be the end of the world as we know it.
