Ok Ashton, I will be getting beer themes together in the next few days. Looks like you have a lot to work with. Would you prefer something non-Golarion specific?

I will have to figure out a way to display all of them. Perhaps one of those cheapy chinese book shelves.

Last years labels.

The only non-Golarion-specific beer I've ever come up with is Ordinator Doppelbock, but it's hardly a requirement. :P

You know I'm in, sir, as well as Hugo, and we've both got a LOT of artwork to use, as well as being willing to make more for this very worthy cause. I'm thinking, for the Golarion beers, at least, of doing mock Pathfinder covers for them- you know, Pathfinder logo, "AP" (Curse of the Crimson Ale, Rise of the Hoplords, etc.), beer "adventure" name (Seven Days to the Ale, Palates Run Red), the works. But I'm also happy to make labels for some more world-specific beverages as well (the ones from the Adventurer's Armory and the Guide to Katapesh spring to mind; there's, of course, also whatever you come up with name-wise).

Keep me posted. I'll be checking back regularly. :D

The Exchange

Ok, the beer types will come first. Then I will see if you need any of my theme ideas.

Ye gods, man! That is a LOT of beer!

And I am humbly willing to be an official taster for your beer selection in Bellevue. ;)

Ha! Glad somebody else remembers that old SNL skit...

It's Happy!

It's FUN!

Alright Ashton.

I have all my beers labeled and boxed for PaizoCon. After Wednesday I will be providing insight into the themes around the beers. I will label them once I arrive in Seattle. I will be sampling every one of them this Monday and Tuesday, taking notes as best I can.

I have decided to create beer menus for Thursday night after the Crab Feed. They won't be much good after that because I expect the majority of the titles to be gone after that. These menus will be handed out at the door for those that wish to find their perfect beer. I promise to offer a beer drinking experience unlike no other. It appears there will be some twenty beers. Much different than last year's six.

There will be some surprise beers that only a few people will get a chance to taste. One of these beers is the hit Dark Lager from the year before (single bottle). I will also have Berliner Weiss, Trappist Ale and the German Kolsch Ale.

Happy Fun Ball indeed.

The Exchange

As soon as I have a day off N'Wah, the themes will be provided.

Best - SNL - commercial - ever.

(Except mabye robot insurance for the elderly with Sam Waterson.)

Dude, you're doing a steam beer? I'm originally from the Bay Area, so anything from Anchor gets my undying love. :D

I will begin work on some concepts. Drop me a line when you get a chance: you(dot)swit(at)gmail(dot)com.

I find out my days off for next week today. I am hoping to have a hellacious ketchup day when I get it free. I predict like tuesday or wednesday.

Yes, Anchor Steam has long been an infatuation beer for me. I drink it slightly warmer than refrigerated temperature. It really mellows out the harsher hoppy overtones. Of course, me beer has some harshness like Anchor Steam, but a bit smoother. I drink my version as cold as I like. It is a very good tasting beer and a worthy attempt at the Steam category. I use the Anchor Steam yeast, which makes it taste like a very close relative (sister beer if you will).

I can firmly say we have a Qadiran Ale (Pumpkin Ale)

These beers I plan to display as showpieces, 1 label per type. I will also be creating a beer menu which will feature your labels too.

Considering the idea of a beer sample tray as well. :)

Any fancy name for the Qadiran? "Fruit of the Desert" or something? "Vizier's Gourd"? "Squash of Iran"? :P

That is where I really fall short sometimes when time is of the essence...excellent names. Now if Clinton Boomer was here. He would have had it done and baffled everyone with the incredible thought process it must have taken to come up with the names. I still am amazed by his story Road to Varno. I do lament his absence.

Trust me, these names will be bizarre and out of the way of mainstream.

I will give you one right now!

Mwangi Spit!

It is a tart beer that is brewed regionally in Kibwe. The recipe was taken from a brewer that hailed from the Lands of the Linnorm Kings. He ran brewery this brewery using the locals and kept a tight supervision. He never shared the recipes and was secretive about his yeasts. Before his death from a terrible illness he burned the recipes and exposed his yeasts to contamination. Tutwe, his foreman took over the brewery trying to replicate the recipe using the contaminated yeast and memory, but failed in some aspect to recreate the brew.

People from out of town that visit the local bars call it Mwangi Spit! For it seemed to offend their beer sensibilities so much that they spit it out!

This beer is my Berliner Weiss. It is a tart beer served with a slightly squeezed lemon slice.
