GAMEX gaming convention is being held at the Sheratan/LAX over Memorial Day weekend.

Jerry and I are currently scheduling PFS scenarios for the convention.
The plan is to run all the PFS scenarios from Season 1, January through May during the weekend, beginning on Friday and ending on Monday. 3 scenarios a day.
Plus I will be setting up a GM box, of scenarios that I have in my library from Season 0 and Season 1, so that PFS players can do pickup games of scenarios throughout the weekend.
So please mark it on you calendar. We will be getting the schedule up as soon as Jerry and I can work it out on Warhorne as well as the Strategicon web site.
We will need local GMS as well as players for these scenarios and the convention. So PFS players and GM, get ready please and pipe up!
Reminder, that GM's who run events at Strategicon will be reimbursed for their badges:

You are required to run 48 player-hours worth of events in order to obtain a free badge. Take the number of player slots filled times the game duration.
Example 1: 6 players in a 4-hour game equals 24 event hours
Example 2: 5 players in a 2-hour game equals 10 event hours
Lets put a good showing of PFS events at Strategicon and make our presence felt!!

Calling all PFS players and GMs in Southern California and Western United States (California/Arizona/Nevada).
I am in discussions with the rpg group at Strategicon gaming convention about hosting more Pathfinder PFS games at the convention.
I had proposed 12 games over the weekend, from Friday night through Monday of Memorial day weekend.
The organizer is an old hand at RPGA and is very much a LFR fan. His experience this last convention showed that there was little interest as he had scheduled a single track of pfs scenarios, and only 3 of the games made.
I tried explaining to him that limiting pfs to a single game meant that either the upper PFS group (Levels 7-11) or the lower pfs track (Levels 1-7) are left our of the slot, and turns away players.
For a player to want to goto a convention to do PFS most want to be able to play either the entire day or an entire weekend of PFS.
I need supporters and interested players and GM to contact the convention organizer stratcon_rpgs@strategicon.net to let them know that you (we) want them to expand the pfs portion of the convention to allow for maximum PFS fun. Ie we need to expand PFS availability.
Your help is appreciated in this effort.

Robyn this is awesome. I'll admit I was a little underwelmed with the Pathfinder turnout at the last con, but this is going to be awesome. I'll happily GM a few of the low-level mods. Do I sign up to GM through Warhorn?

My old lady, a buddy and I wish to attend the Pathfinder Events on Saturday. We haved played 3.5 forever but are new to 3.75 and thought this would be a great way to get into it, but we cannot find any Pathfinder events on the Strategicon site at all. We have no other reason to attend - so - how do we sign up???????????

We have about 2 full tables for each of the scenarios, but it appears that we are seriously short of GM's for the event.

We really need a couple of GMs for high-level games on Saturday. [puppy-dog eyes]PLEASE[/puppy-dog eyes]. Cons are my only chance to play my level 9 guy. We've got two legal tables (well, 3 players, so Play, Play, Play legal tables) but no GMs yet. Come on, who's up for it!
Well, the table will not die a horrible death, we will get a GM, even if you are stuck with me :)
Pre-reg for the con has been GREAT. We have 23 Tables for the conventions with GMs and players!
It will be great to see everyone at the con!

Freakin' awesome! Three cheers for Robyn and everyone else involved in the PFS for an outstanding con. I was chatting with one of the guys who puts together the whole convention and he was saying he's ready to give even more space and publicity Pathfinder Society, that he'd like to see Pathfinder Society on about an equal footing with that other association, you know, the one that plays that other game... ;)
This was my first time GMing at a con. I was a little nervous at first but ended up GMing 4 scenarios. I'm sure I made some goofs but all my players were great. The fact that I'm still growing as a GM, in a lot of ways, actually seemed to make the whole experience a lot more cooperative, with everyone contributing and looking stuff up. Thanks for your help and patience everyone! Nice to have other GMs and the coordinator in the room too, just in case we needed a third or fourth opinion. And it paid for my con! My point is, I hope more and more of my fellows will take the plunge and GM a session or two next time. Really, it's not that bad :)
Thanks everyone for a fantastic weekend! I'm already looking forward to Labor Day.
