New Class: the Ground Sloth

Homebrew and House Rules

Class: the Ground Sloth
Another idea, the Sloth; gains DR but no skill point and no weapon proficiency at all; capstone ability: can become a Leech at level 20, too.

HD: d12
BAB: as Wizard
Saves: good Fortitude and Will, bad Reflex
Skills: 0 points per level (but a high enough Intelligence can give him some skill points)
Alignment: any neutral
Armor proficiency: no armors, no shield
Weapon proficiency: none
Abilities: Sluggishness

Version history:

Sluggishness
The Slob is lazy, and quite overweight from his lack of activity. He moves at half his speed and doesn’t Run unless pressed (and, even then, he barely hustles). However, this laziness is a defense mechanism in and of itself, as enemies don’t really consider him harmful. In order to make an attack, each enemies must make a Will save with a DC equal to half the Slob’s level + 10.
At level 4, his layers of fat allow him to make physical attacks rebound. Any enemy successfully striking him must succeed a Reflex save with a DC equal to half the Slob’s level + 10, or his weapon rebounds, striking himself instead.
At level 5, his fat reserves provide him with a large enough surplus of cells to close his wounds, he gains Fast Healing 1.
At level 10, he gains Regeneration 1. This supersedes Fast Healing. This amount of healing increases by one every 5 levels afterwards.
At level 20, he can take the form of a Leech.

OK, this one was a joke after the Circle of Life post about the ability of becoming a Lich. Still... no comment?
