Basic idea, alchemist experiments on himself, trying to improve himself/unlock the mysteries of life/just being crazy. At certain points in his level progression, he is able to affect a permanent change upon himself. Could be approached as alchemical transhumanism, a slow project of apotheosis, or just a mad scientist being particularly crazy.
The alchemist gives up a standard new ability in exchange for a small pool of evolution points, which he can use once to permanently alter himself. He has access to almost all of the evolution options available to eidolins, excepting potentially problematic options. The alchemist level must also be equal to the required summoner level for each desired evolution. The alchemist must also have the required body type(biped, most likely) for each evolution, where applicable.
The alchemist will get multiple chances to evolve throughout his level progression, and only during those periods can he reassign any used evolution points.
At what levels should the alchemist be given this option? How many evolution points should be made available each time? Which evolution powers would be an absolute no-no for an alchemist to apply to himself?
It would be easy to plug it in as a Discovery option, but I don't think I'd want to make this available so often throughout a 20 level spread.
