I know in the book there is nothing on encounters for the PCs traveling to Runeforge in Book 5 Sins of the Savior, but I was wondering if any GMs out there came up with anything interesting. It seems like a long way to travel without some events going on.

In all likelihood, at this point in the campaign your party will have a method of traveling that effectively bypasses your typical random encounter paradigm. Overland flight and teleportation are a couple examples of this.
When I was running this part the same problem came up. Not only did it seem there was nothing interesting but I didn't know how they would proceed. It was a completely off the cuff trip where they stopped by Riddleport and made some alliances and took a general tour of the exotic locations of the North. Wasn't the high point but it was still a good part of a session.
