Checking in as well. Got much busier than anticipated last night, but I have the character built on paper and am starting to port him over now.
I did have a couple of questions regarding changes to my original idea. I was reading up on the time period of the wars, and I always forget just how much diversity there was in the empire at that point. If you don't mind, rather than being human I was leaning towards being Mon Calamari. The perceptiveness of the race would suit him well as a front line soldier and the empires steady turn against more alien races would add to his resentment of them.
Also, you had me listed down as questionably a noble, but I think I am going to start off as a soldier since it has more of the skills I am associating with the character. I'm likely to bounce back and forth between soldier and noble as we level however.
This should be the basics of my character, built in a style similar to JM above. Let me know if there are any changes or edits you feel need to get made.

It's all good. I think Mon Cal lends well to a medic, and solider lends well to a combat medic.
You are in no way tied to being a Noble - it was just a placeholder notation.

Looks good but I believe your Will Defense should be 15 (+4 from Wis bonus, and +1 for level).

You are right about the will defense, thats what I get for building him on scratch paper instead of a proper character sheet.
As for the class, I realized I didn't have to go noble at any point, but it still has a lot of things that fit the character(several of the knowledges, talents like bolster ally, ect). Soldier just seemed a bit more of a fit so I went that way for the first level.
I've run into some unexpected business today, and I won't be able to make my character until tomorrow, just so you know.
Can I make use of the telekinetic prodigy talent from pg 88 of Force Unleashed at some point? Also, the Unleashed feat, and subsequent uses of force powers were in my interest as well, along with the Force Techniques in the book.

I don't see Force Slam in the techniques in the Unleased book but I don't see a problem with the Force Techniques in that book in general.

Any chance I could buy a voclizer? maybe in a helm? Some races seem to have them. They never show wookies using them, but they can't be unknown I don't think
Well, here he is. I decided to go with Trandoshan Scout and his details are more or less as I wrote in the other thread. The -2 to dex hurt but not enough that I'd be willing to alter my concept, and I'm really looking forward to starting!

The more I work on this guy the more I feel, while he would be fun he might not be apporate for this game. I would like to do something else, but if you want to let an alt player in that had a working concept then that is understandable.
I just feel this pc would hurt the game, it might be fun but it would be disruptive to the storyline i fear, and he would kill the Trandoshan at first chance. The more I worked on him the more I see he is just a bad fit for both the group and the AP

Seeker - I like the concept. Here are some ideas that I had to soften things up a bit:
1. Many Wookiees were or became slaves under the Empire so that is okay.
2. Being burned is also okay. I suggest you are saved by a Rebel and healed and an expensive way is found to make you whole (on the outside).
3. You offer your life-debt to this Rebel leader and that is your hook into the party.
4. The leader returns your honor and gives you purpose and direction but in a good way, not an evil one.
5. Let me look at the vocalizer. I have another idea - how about a portable protocol droid (obviously stripped down and not nearly as functional as a walking one) that acts as your voice? This could be a good RP thing if he gets taken or broken. He (or she) could even have a funny voice or be too literal or flourish your basic commands, etc.
Let me know.
If you have an idea for another character, I am open. We have some time as not everyone is ready and I don't want to start until 3/1.
Character progress summary:
1. Tamara Kess - good to go. Background and stats checked and approved. Nice changes in the BG. ;)
2. Nenin Reru - Stats are good. Perception is +14 as a skill but you have +4 at the top section. Background text needed.
3. Allerick Hosh - Stats are good but Destiny points are 1, not 3. Background text needed.
4. Surussk - A few changes:
Do me a personal favor. Can you delete the text in the lined items in your Alias and just leave the text in the "About Surussk" section? It is easier to read that way.
1. Reflex should be 15, not 16 (10+1 Level+2 Scout+2 Dex)
2. HP should be 26, not 20. (24 base for scout, +1con, +1 Toughness)
3. You need a license for these items: Blaster Rifle, Vibro Bayonet, and Blaster Pistol. The fees are 100+18+50 = 168. Please adjust.
5. Kyle/Chris - Background good. Stats needed.
6. Sehrin/MM - In progress
7. Seeker - In progress
I will be using Destiny points. Please include your Destiny somewhere in your character descrition. If everyone could, to be consistent, please include a Destiny paragraph after your background.

I can work with some of that. I like the life dept part, that would work well I am not sure on the stripped down droid but would you mind if I changed they type of burned he took? Maybe if he could start with a prosthetic arm and leg or something? I know that make him take damage from ion weapons but I like the concept of a phonically damaged wookie

Just had a thought. How, um, I guess susceptible is the right word, maybe, will my Force use be to getting Dark side points? As in, if I use force slam on some stormtroopers that attacked me, and they die, will I get a dark side point? What about if I attacked first, cause I was infiltrating an imperial station, or something like that?

Dark Side points are usually based on intent. Also, it is usually a pattern of repeated behavior that results in a DSP. I will try to work with you on this and give warnings but an overtly evil act (my opinion) gets a DSP.

How much money are we starting with. I could have sworn somewhere I saw you (or the Campaign Guide) say that we were getting max credits for our class, but now I can't find it.

Excellent. I can live with that, most certainly. Pretty sure Kess will gain a couple anyway, but I'll try to keep the force use jedi-like. I assume then we are also following the no repentance rules in the rpga pdf?
I may relax that rule. Let's see how it plays out.
It is an edgy time in the overall story arc and you are fighting BBEG's en masse. However, the ends don't justify the means and matching evil with more evil isn't going to cut it.

And I'm perfectly fine with that. Usually, I tend to favor the lightsaber part of the jedi over force use. Should the campaign last long enough, Kess will most likely end up with Shii-Cho, Soresu, and Ataru for forms, and Force Point Recovery and Improved Force Thrust as Techniques. Probably going to get Mind Trick at some point, given that with Move Object and Telekinetic Prodigy I can gain the Thrust I need.

A bit of life got in the way (my friend kidnapped me to go on a roadtrip) and afterwards I kinda forgot (and had to catch up on the stuff I didn't do when I was out of town). I'll have the character done by today or tomorrow.

Excitement is building! Replaying Force Unleashed to get myself in the Dark Times mood.
A thought. When does the first adventure take place? Would be nice to know, cause Kess could be anywhere from 19 to 38, depending on when this is set (on the assumption that it obviously can't start after Episode IV).

The Dawn of Defiance campaign is set during the period between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The first adventure begins just a few months after the end of the Clone Wars, which is roughly 19 years before the Battle of Yavin (Episode IV).
