Dire Tiger: 'Improved Iron Will' without 'Iron Will'?

Rules Questions

The PRD (here) states that the Dire Tiger has the Improved Iron Will feat - yet it does not seem to list the Iron Will feat, which is a prerequisite.

Is the Dire Tiger exempt from having to follow the prerequisites, or is this an error?

It's likely an error. A few monsters are missing prerequisite feats.

Yeah, a complete mistake. The +2 bonus isn't factored into saves. One of the existing feats needs to be changed to Iron Will to allow Improved Iron Will to function.

If you want to be a strict reader of RAW, Improved Iron Will isn't usable by the dire tiger.

A character can't use a feat if he loses a prerequisite, but he does not lose the feat itself. If, at a later time, he regains the lost prerequisite, he immediately regains full use of the feat that prerequisite enables.

Actually, the simplest thing is simply to remove it. The Dire Tiger already has one too many feats, so pulling the one that doesn't function anyway won't even affect anything but the stat block.

That sounds like the best bet.

I wish the PRD was updated to remove these bugs... :P

Good luck with that.

It would be Sad if these little bugs are ignored. :(

There's a whole thread dedicated to Bestiary bugs, probably better to keep them all in one place.

A Thread?

Shouldn't there be a WHOLE section dedicated for posting Bugs?
That is what I use on my forum and it makes bug tracking that much easier to manage/discuss/track/search!!

Are YOU making a whole section for posting bugs?

Edit: There are a couple of threads, but the one with 280-some posts is the most prevalent, and will probably have the most impact when the time comes for a change. Individual bug threads will die soon after creation despite their merit.

Yes, I am doing that on my forum: I created a section called Gremlins! [TOS+ Issues], where users can post any issues they come across. Since it is one issue per thread, it is easy (for me) to focus on bug fixing. Once an issue has been fixed, it is tagged as such, and eventually the issue is moved to an Archive area (just in case it needs to be revisited)

Yeah most likely - although they do Archive older posts...

*shrugs*
