Holy. Crap. That turns this day around.
Legend of the 5 Rings 4th Edition is officially out. Today. Holy crap.
Reversal of fortune ahoy!
So what is the difference between the 3rd edition and the 4th edition of L5R? I have most of the 1st and 2nd edition and about half of the 3rd edition of L5R.

I'll let you know later, friend- I'm on my way out to pick mine up right the hell damn now.
Check out enworld, they have a forum dedicated to explaining the differences between 3rd and 4th.
I'm damn glad that I'm not the only FAWLTyer into L5R- I love the system and the bulk of the story and many of the mechanics, but the fanbase has a not-entirely-undeserved reputation for elitism and hostility towards d20/Paizo/ANYTHING that smacks of the letters D AND D/western sword-and-sorcery, so I don't post on their forums often.
Have a great day folks. Look like I picked the right day to fix up the old/sellable bike and bid her farewell by riding her to work.

He'd have to hunt us all down and eliminate us if we knew.

Being more physically active.
I prefer that to sitting on my behind.I am eliminating the "sedentary aspects" of my life first and then I will go back into conditioning on a regular basis.
I sit at a computer at work calibrating equipment. I also try to work very efficiently. I quite often complete 10 to 12 hours of production work in a time frame that is roughly 5 to 7 hours long.
I operate the computer controls, wait a minute, and operate another control or two and repeat over and over. I do this while working in a windowless concrete box.
However, I reduced my sedentary work habits by making use of the minute long wait tinme by walking a circuitous path through the back area where I work.
Each circuit takes about 45 to 50 seconds of the minute down time. That is a brisk walk. I have been doing 80+ of these walks in a three hour time span. 80 walks at 45 seconds each is an hour of brisk walking.
Not too shabby to accomplish while on the clock and simultaneously efficiently accomplishing 10 to 12 hours of production in an eight hour work day. This is in addition to a whole host of other things accomplished for work that does not explicitly translate into production hours.
Anyway, this is not exactly conditioning or working out but it is a big metabolism booster (that holds over a long period of time) that has sent me into low blood sugar multiple times.
I am also engaging in such activity at home as well as going to bed earlier. Either Friday or Sunday, I will go to the Scott Center (a gym at the Naval base I work at) and begin mixing in stairmaster, cardio, and some weight lifting (mainly deadlifts and squats).
It will take a while but my endurance is already going back up and the conditioning will greatly increase my power and agility.
I guess that about does it for the night. I might post some more later.
