Thanks for the well-wishes and suggestions guys. I just got back from the doctor. She gave me a scrip for amoxicillin, so hopefully in a few days I will be doing better.
As for the sinus rinse stuff, I can't. Seriously, cannot bring myself to do it. I get nosebleeds from saline nasal spray. And just about anything else that goes up my nose. Heck, sometimes I just get nosebleeds from having a stuffy nose. I've heard really good things about how well they work, but I have issues with seeing my own blood. Other people's blood not a problem. Mine makes me faint.

Oh, and Bryce's bad day continues as well, poor thing. His glasses snapped in half partway through the school day. I'm debating what to do about it now. If I go over there now I'll only be in time for him to have his old glasses for a couple hours. And it will be almost an hour extra driving. So I think I'm probably just gonna have to let him tough it out. :(

I only have the first one. I'd strangle puppies for the second one.

lynora wrote:Hey, Lynora, have you ever tried (spoilered for grossness) ** spoiler omitted ** Just a thought.Ugh. Bad morning. Kidlet woke up screaming at 3. Ended up tucking him in bed with me which meant I didn't really sleep. He got all disoriented and cranky this morning because he got woke up by my alarm. Then we had scary bad drive to school on flooded roads in really heavy rain. Got him there only ten minutes late which was a serious accomplishment. Made doctor appt for this afternoon since I am now quite sick. Probably a sinus infection.
I really hope the rest of you are having a better day than I am.
I have also heard good things about Neti pots . These are pretty much the same thing as the sinus rinse, just a different delivery system.
Edit- Apparently I should learn to read ahead before responding. :)

Great for colonics, too.
Why does that sound so nice? There must be something wrong with me.
Though I have often heard the average person retains something like 10-20 pounds of dried stool in their intestinal track. I am not sure how true that is but just imagine how you would feel if that was all gone.

My wife regularly uses a netty(?) pot - kinda like a little teapot, fill it with warm water, mix in this weird part-salt compound, pour in one nostril and let it drain out the other. It helps.
Sorry, I didn't see this before I responded. But yes, I have heard good things about these devices. I have never tried it myself though.

That is unfortunate. Well, I hope the amoxicillin helps knock out the infection.

AB ... on a semi-serious note...have you ever been to that comic book store on the corner of 256 and Livingston? The name escapes me at the moment. Not really a comic afficando, but there are a couple of genres I'm slowly getting into. Not sure what they stocked or if you even follow that genre. And sometimes, certain comic stores may be sitting on RPG swag that's collecting dust.

I own the Ptolus hardcover, but as for the Iron Kingdom stuff... I found out about it too late to get it at a reasonable priice. What is Gygaxian Redemption?

I am not sure if you were familiar with British Papermill in the old Scarborough Mall. I can't recall what they call that mall now, even if it still exists, but it used to sit next to Meijer, across from Andersons.
In any case, the comic store at Livingston and 256 is the same store under a new name. I can't recall the name. I used to go to the British Papermill a lot, but I haven't been to the new location. I am not sure what kinds of gaming stuff they might have laying around, but I did pick up a huge collection of old Dragon magazines at the old location once. So, it is worth a try.
Edit- I said it might be Central City, but I know that is not right. That was a fantastic store that went out of business awhile ago.

I like sushi. I just like mine beer battered, deep fried, and then served with chips. :)

For beginners, I would suggest tuna- both as sushi and as a roll. Salmon and shrimp are also quite good, as is my personal favorite, mackerel. Be sure to save egg for dessert, however, as it is quite sweet.

I think these are good choices.
I personally prefer rolls, though your standard rice and fish sushi is very tasty.
I should point out that most of the rolls you see in restaurants are Western-inspired and not very traditional. Personally, I don't mind, as I think they are very good and can be extremely creative, but I am sure there are those out there that do.
I am not sure what you started with CJ, but the default American roll is the California roll. It is crab (or imitation crab) with avocado, cucumber rolled in rice and nori.
Personally, I really enjoy a spider roll, which is fried soft shell crab, cucumber, daikon and what not. Each place tends to do this roll a bit differently.
Beyond that, anything with cream cheese is very tasty. A local restaurant does a roll with apples, shrimp, crab, mayo, avocado, masago (which is roe) wrapped in a soy wrap and tempura deep fried. It is to die for. They also make something they call the Nutty Almond Roll, which has some of the same ingredients but omits the apples and adds walnuts and coconut.
As a side note, this restaurant often replaces the traditional nori with thin soy wraps, which I prefer. I am not sure how many restaurants on a national level do that, but I would recommend it if you find you don't like the taste or texture of nori.

Actually developed a taste for Nori by itself at a friends house.
I wish I recall what it was named but it was Tuna. They also had an extra set of California rolls that I also ended up with.
both were ok.
As for some of you other suggestions thank you. I will say though I am one of the few people who does not care for cream cheese.
