That's good to hear. Does this mean things are improving on the family front?

Um, not really. :(

Wow, almost 500 posts while I was away blissfully gaming with Treppa and Co. Seems Heathansson is back in full force eh?

Not to mention other shenanigans.

Yea. I noticed that there was almost 400 posts when I checked back in after watching the Forbidden Kingdom with some friends. I read 30 and said "To Hell with this." Hopefully I did not miss much. ~wicked, toothy smile~ However, knowing Heathy, I did not miss much at all.

As close to full nude as you can get without, she had her hands covering the important bits. ;)

It really was a cute movie though, she does b*tch real well.

That's the one with Ryan Reynolds. Took the wife to see it in the theater. I'm not normally one for chick flick types, but that one was OK. I like Betty White as the grandma. That old lady is hilarious.

I was very pleasantly surprised when my wife and I watched The Proposal. Not usually my kind of film.

<Now shuffles out of the thread and off to work, where all I can do is lurk and not post :( >

Gooood Morning Fawtlinam!

Scarab Sages

This week is, I think, gonna suck ass. Work all day, then go home and work around the house - cleaning in preparation for the father-in-law's visit.

It wouldn't be so bad, probably, if we cleaned more often. Unfortunately, my wife is one of the worst when it comes to housekeeping. I try, in my own meager way, to keep things straight and somehwat clean, but without her assitance, it's a losing battle.

A one time cleaning service to get ready?

My students turn in their final essays this week. Sigh.

So close ... yet so far.

I've always thought of Sandra Bullock as the cute perky type. She ages very well.

It's typical here as well. Luckily, my father never visits and her parents live two hours away. When her mother comes up, we have to clean like ninjas. Her mom cleans (rich ppl) houses for a living.

I take it most of them are going to suck half-assed, eh? What's the essay on?

I operate on the silly assumption that if a student gets to choose their own essay topic, it will be a better essay all the way around.

Its raining, and monday post. Guess there is a morning in there somewhere

Bright and sunny out here. Just need the temperature to oomph up a little more, but can't complain.

Morning all. 748 posts, huh? What did I miss?

Good morning, everyone!

I now have chicagoeric and houstonderek straight! And thanks for the 2015 prediction, TAD. I'd be OK with that.

Congrats to Heathy and Urizen on a nice hefty blitz, with assists from Taig and Mac. And to Solnes for potty training.

Condolences to Mairk on the pending flood of papers. Hope your philosophy works out for you.

My mom leaves for Paris today for the vacation of a lifetime! Go Mom! I couldn't bring myself to tell her about the ER visit and spoil her trip with worry. Hope she's not mad when she finds out. :( This is the first time in years she's had a vacation, what with caring for Dad during his illness and being newly widow for the past year. She deserves it worry-free. Right? :-/

Oh, and we're trying to meet Tuesday night to continue last night's battle with the BBEG from Shackled City. I hate stopping in the middle of a melee, but this is a looong fight.

EDIT: SP and I have played Dragon Age: Origins, but it got elbowed out by Fallout 3, which will soon be elbowed out by the new Splinter Cell (SP's birthday wish). Someday, I'll finish a frickkin game. I'm not that fond of DA:O because the NPC's are all NASTAY and gross.

It's what I get for not checking in over the weekend.

I'd like to add that if it weren't TAD for providing me source materials and Mac eggin' me on from within the hive, it would have not been possible.

Yeah. I'm showing 778. I'm not going back to read them all. Hope there wasn't anything all that important.

You know, that's true. I should have looked at all the pages. Thing kind of pooped out early, though.

Watched Death Note last night. (We have a great library system.) That was a very interesting movie that I think some of you would enjoy. It is based on a Manga comic book series. It seemed a little low budget, but still felt it was very good.

Watch part two of that. It is actually one movie split into two DVDs. Very entertaining and it does follow the Anime series rather well.
