Runeforge traps- how did you play them?- spoilers

Rise of the Runelords

I have seen some discussion about the disjunction trap and the morph mist trap but is there any discussion about the mirror of opposition trap and how it has been handled?

to me it seems deadly beyond belief

1 person gets into the 'trap spot' glances left or right suddenly 2 of him attack, surely he loses that fight?

lets say 4 people walk in the mirrors activate for 3 of them and there are 6 bad guys fighting 4 good guys.

what have you done or how have you played this?

and by the way were there any other traps in the runeforge that I havent spotted that casue this level of problem?

In my campaign::

- The morph-mist transformed the group's paladin. The way I described what the others saw ("she seems to grow smaller and smaller and then disappears"), they guessed she had gotten polymorphed into something small. Once they saw the fish, it became obvious. They used Speak with Animal to find out which fish was the right one, and broke the spell with Break Enchantment.

- I gave them ample warning about the Disjunction trap looking like something that was about to explode (thanks to good Perception rolls). They walked back a good distance into the hallway and saw the small explosion. Then they triggered it again with an arrow or a magic missile, I think, and walked through the room before it exploded again.

- The mirror of opposition indeed seems quite deadly, but the party was warned about this trap by the Warriors of Wrath, and trivially bypassed it, sending critters summoned with Monster Summoning 1 if I remember correctly, and killing them (since mirrors of opposition work only once per day... or something like that... don't remember the details).

- They also activated the trap with the 3 coffins that belong to Kazaven. They took one round of damage from the necromantic arms shooting rays of negative energy, but then bypassed the trap by casting Antimagic Shell.

- For the first trap in the Vault of Greed (the false door), they triggered it, and it almost crushed the cleric, but he managed to survive with a few HP left.

I think that's it?... Hope it helps. ;)

Heh I loved all these traps in Runeforge eventhough some of them are really dangerous.

In my campaing

Spoiler:

-Morphic mist: Great fun because in my 4 PCs group two were really greedy and two other not. These two [fighter and rogue] walk through first and nothing happens. Then two casters [sorcere and cleric] and I hoped that they both turn to goldfishes but only sorcere pomymorphed. Then panic about "which one of these twelve fishes is our sorcerer". Great fun. ^^ They used sorcerer's familiar to identify the right one eventhough cleric had animal domain and "speak with animals" like 16 times in day.

-Crushing Door at the Vault of Greed: Dangerous, luckily fighter and cleric survived the door. Like couple if hps left to both of them. Good way to show that Runeforge is really dangerous place.

-Mirrors of Opposition: I used "wave attack". Couple of rounds pause between new enemies so PCs can handle themselves. Notice that casters are super dangerous when they are your enemies. Teams sorcerer had disintegrate and CHA like 20 and spell focus on transmutations. So TPK is highly possible. But still great fun. In my group PCs released all their anger to these replicas ["It is fun to smack you, my friend" "Yeah I like to hurt you too"].

-Dusjunction is boring. I destroyed two Sihedron medallions and lots of scrolls and wands that were not used since first book but they were still carrying them.

Thanks' y'all it is always helpful to get an idea how someone else handled a tricky situation
