It could only help make the campaign more survivable for the PCs.
I'm currently DMing under 3.5 and have racked up a pretty impressive body count without even sincerely trying to kill the characters.
The positive energy channeling is nice because it's not the "all or nothing" that turning usually ends up being. The cleric can inflict damage on the biggest and baddest undead in the campaign, even if they can't destroy them completely.

Just wondering if anyone has switched from 3.5 to the Pathfinder RPG for the Age of Worms adventure path and has any experiences to share?
E.g. How does the channel positive energy mechanism (in place of turning undead) work for the Age of Worms?
My group switched from 3.5 to Pathfinder PRG when we started A Gathering of Winds last year. I've been quite pleased with the transition. With the Beastary in hand, I have little work to do in order to upgrade the encounters, and the players to a (wo)man have enjoyed the excellent flavour that Pathfinder has brought to each of the character classes. I play strictly core rulebooks with Age of Worms, which has also made the transition simple. We have not changed any of the campaign setting/deities -- a big thrill of AoW are all the nostalgic Greyhawk references.
The new cleric rules have not broken the undead encounters to date, though I'll be interested to see how it runs at higher levels. My take so far: Pathfinder RPG works like a charm in Age of Worms!

I'm in the process of doing this now. My group finished Dungeon 124 and 125 already, we were using 4E.
It was proving to be too much work for me, as the DM, to convert all that stuff to 4E so we are switching to Pathfinder. The conversion for that stuff is minimal, mostly limited to some tweaks to NPC's and a couple monsters here and there. No where near the level of conversion needed for 4E.
Also, I was getting kinda bored of 4E so hopefully this will add some excitement to our game again.

I just used the Conversion PDF Paizo put out to convert NPC's. Most of their stat blocks remained as is and I just did some slight modifications for the Pathfinder changes.
IMO, the amount of work to convert the NPC to follow strict Pathfinder rules is not worth the payoff, especially since you will probably not end up noticing a difference. The quick conversion method is way easier, takes less time, and you end up with something that is still fun for your players to kill.
Mind you I have 6 PC's so I'm using the scaling sidebars in the magazines to up the EL's a bit.
Plus all my work is saved in maptools so I can't really copy and paste it here. Sorry :S

Hi,
I'm going to play AoW with PF myself as a DM starting in two weeks. I'm using MapTools too. So is there a chance, that you post your campaign files somewhere to share them? I've done this work for the first chapter, but I did no conversion to PF. I will have 6 players as well so I am very interested in your changes and your experiences with them.

I will be running this under Pathfinder RPG.
I will convert the entirety of every monster and encounter from 3.5 over to Pathfinder RPG. Using Herolab, this is not that hard to do and can be done relatively quickly.
I will publish the collected monsters in a cumulative .pdf, updated fomr time to time on an as needed basis. The link to the .pdf will be available on the Chronicles: Pathfinder Podcast discussion forums on d20Radio.com in the Monstar Mash/Encounter Laboratory sub-forum located HERE
