Legality check: Would conversions of closed classes and races be kosher?

To post here, that is.

Either full conversions or simply conversion notes to append to the closed material.

Because I'd love to fool around with the Dragon Compendium classes and all of the races from the Races Of Stone/Destiny/Wild books and the environment books(Sandstorm, Frostburn, Stormwrack).

IANAL, therefore the asking. What is permissible as far as offering PFRPG updates for this stuff on this boards?

It's illegal for Paizo to have it or acknowledge it. A thread based on that would be closed down. You're better off looking at other folk's Pathfinder homebrew sites.

It's not really a PFRPG thing. Since it's not part of the original 3.x SRD there's not much you can do with it "legally." It belongs to WOTC just like Beholders and Mind Flayers do.

Of course there's nothing stopping you from copy and pasting the abilities and renaming all proper nouns... you just can't mention the original source and have to avoid direct similarities.

Yeah basically just don't name your source and change the names of stuff and you're fine, within reason, here on the boards.

For your own personal use at home they can't do a damn thing to stop you, go nuts!

Yep, that's what I was afraid of. Ah well. Thanks guys.
