So I had the idea when considering how to post my session log for the players, how can I make this interesting? I decided on writing it up from the view of an NPC, in-character. Then I had to figure out who would be viewing the party enough.
My answer? Nidrama.
So here is the link to the first field report to her superiors concerning my party. I hope this stimulates other people's creativity.
Prime Material Quadrant 7A4O Observation Report Number XXVIII.

I will be doing the same type of things but from the point of view of random NPC's the group encounters. But i love the idea of a regular report from a heavenly of demonic source on the progress or lack there of of the party.
Small excerpt
Randal was just beginning to relax. They this small logging town many times before and today they were merely stopping for a safe place to stay for the night, before moving on to their destination. His 3 traveling companions were all skilled and this was bound to be a routine mission. Just then the doors opened and a group was led in. they appeared to be mercenary or adventurer types. Armed and armored, with a female halfling spellcaster and female 1/2 orc barbarian (suppressing urge to throw up, a exotic human female barbarian ( bet she's the dominating type), an elf archer (cute but too skinny) and a 1/2 elf cleric judging by her openly displayed holy symbol)
It was not long before the cleric came over to chat with us, (probably attracted to me). We feigned ignorance of the drow up north and i think she bought it. We offered to share drink with them, in hopes of loosening their tongues and learned some useful information on our destination. That night they set watches and we pretended not to, they never suspected we were taking turns observing them.
the next day we offered to ride with them for safety in numbers, seeing as we had the same destination. Things were going great until that rat Splinter ( 1/2 orc fighter and town militia leader) showed up. Luckily he distracted them long enough for us to move our horses next to each other just encase this went bad. of course he had discovered the invading army camped not more than a days ride from their logging town. He must be asking them to warn the other cities about our army. As splinter related the story, their blasted cleric glanced our way, and must have sensed something amiss. Before anyone could react she began casting and pointed at me. i tried to move but my body would not respond. There i was, sitting on my horse, unable to move, with a group of angry doo gooders charging us! I he;d out hope that our druid could free me while his cat held them off, but their 2 1/2 orcs charged the cat, while their mage began a spell duel with ours. The druid summoned a 1/2 giant 1/2 bugbear to help but the party's rogue caught him flat footed and gave him a vicious wound. thier barbarian recklessly charged the 1/2 giant and their cleric threw lightning at the druid. I kept trying to break free but i had not the will power. Just as i felt the magic beginning to weaken their rogue backed up, looked me in the eyes and slice, the world went balck
