Truly, I haven't been quite as disappointed in a movie in awhile, and yet I still found it's message of hope enjoyable. Or perhaps it was only the movie's failure to create suspension of disbelief that kept me smiling.

This was somewhat less of an angel story as a classic random people at the Apocalypse play. The character interaction & development was pretty much the whole attraction, and the actors are all quite talented/experienced (except the LA family, although they looked a bit familiar). If there were cliches in the progression of relationships, and a slight lack of surprise in the "look out!" moments, it's probably more due to familiarity with this kind of story. (It's been used since forever...)

Angels have the power to move mountains drain the seas and bring forth plagues and that is just a fraction of their power so why are the angels using guns and zombies/possessed people?
It only took one angel to destroy Sodom and Georama and a legion of them can't take down a dinner.
Perhaps that is why Satan didn't hang out.

Meh. Some of my brethren aren't quite up to what you've read about.
If only they'd asked me to be in this movie, it would have been a lot shorter.
