I've had to leave behind my gaming group in Washington when I relocated to San Diego. Looking at the awesomeness of the upcoming Kingmaker campaign, I realized this is a bad time to be without a gaming group.
So I thought I'd test the waters and see if there was anybody in the San Diego area interested in putting together a long-term, bi-weekly gaming group for the sake of Making some Kings when the books start dropping in February?
I'm more than willing to run the game (being one of those oddball gamers who actually really likes to DM), but I'm living on a ship these days and don't have a place to offer to meet up at.
In hopes of finding a good fit for my gaming style, I'll warn y'all that I'm more impressed by the player than the character. I'd rather game with a well-played human fighter than a "look at me" dazzle-fiend half-drow chain dervish warlock. Basically, my enjoyment of the game comes from the human interaction, not the Wowee! factor of how awesome you think your character is.
Does that make sense?
Anybody like that in the area?

See if Sebastian has room at his table.
And let me buy you guys some drinks the next time I visit family and the beach over there.
I am also in sunny San Diego, America's Finest City, at least according to the tourist pamphlets, he he
Why would they lie about that?
And Baron AH, weren't you the rooftop hottub bikini guy? I only ask because I very clearly said I have no place to host a game and, well...

We might be able to help you out Fletch, if you are still looking. We have an established group already that is a bit lighter on players than we have been in the past(currently 5 people, two of whom regularly DM and one of whom is trying to pick up the art).
Right now I am DM and we have just begun Council of Thieves last weekend. We normally get together on every sunday for a pretty long session(normally running from about 1-9).
Unfortunately, if you were wanting to run kingmaker(rather than just volunteering since its normally easier to find players than DMs), the only steady DM has been really salivating for it to come out and declared he was going to be the one to run that as soon as he heard about it. I can vouch for him as a skilled DM though, 4 of us have played together regularly for about 6 years now and the 5th has been a member of the group for about 3 years and he has run about half the games over that time.
In any case, what I am trying to say is that if our schedule isn't outside of the range of what you can do and you are content to join into a game that has just started, you are welcome to come and have a try with us. It would be a pity to have a fellow paizonian and gamer left out in the cold without any game.

It does make sense.
I am very much like that.
I am in the San Diego area.
I am in between games. Kingmaker looks like a lot of fun. I might also be persuaded to run Council of Thieves, since I own a couple of the adventures already.
Cheers to all,
Steven

Hmm... that does sound inviting. Drop me an email at toppenmiddlebottom@yahoo.com and you can tell me more. It's my "spam" account, so put something in the subject line I'll recognize and we can chat.
Thanks for the invite. Maybe you have room for Shade too?

I know there's a Pathfinder Society down at Game Empire, but it would be nice if we could get one in North County, say at Pair-a-Dice? I could possibly run some games, but I don't have time to Run the PFS full time in a new location.
I know Lord Fyre and Gamer Grrl are in North County, not sure if they would play PFS games, but I'd love to be able to bring my boys to PFS games over summer.
