We track them for you. If you buy one and then can't attend, or want to buy one for someone else, you can transfer them on your My Account page.

So I get the actual ticket at the event?

I bought 2 tickets- one for me and one for a friend. Should I have my friend set up a Paizo account and transfer the ticket? Otherwise how will you know what name to attach to it, as I don't see any way to enter such info?
Sorry for the newb questions, but I'm a, well, newb.

There is a table in the front lobby connecting to the convention rooms. Joshua, Lisa and Vic I believe were running that table when I walked in. They have a list of everyone printed out on spread sheets(like a checklist) and pin badges neatly alphabetized. Once they get you your badge, they have perforated sheets that has your passes for all the events you were alotted through the lottery. These pass sheets are perforated and take up about two pages. The passes themselves can be popped out and are slighly bigger than a business card.
Always a chance they might change their procedures.

It's also useful for your friend to have an account so they can sign up for events. (when that becomes available)
