You know, I had wondered if they did hook those things up to each other. Maybe that's when you know for sure whether the other one is faking it or not. :P

Well, in all fairness, gamers have been talking about VR addiction for as long as there have been cyberpunk games, and sci-fi fans have been talking about it since there were cyberpunk novels. We knew this was coming andthis is just three dee movies, this isn't total immersion virtual reality. In fact the bluring of the line between reality and fantasy is even an issue in the movie with Sully as he struggles to decide which version of him is more real. Oh the irony.

And what happens if there's a threesome or an orgy?

I haven't seen it yet, but this thread reminds me of what I read on Kunstler's blog:

Reality can be more amazing and beautiful then any fiction or fantasy, but sadly, that isn't normally the case.
As for getting that sad over a movie- I would guess that people are just emotional wrecks these days, and the movie is just stirring the pot.
Hard times we live in... or are about to.

Haven't seen the movie yet - 3D gives me headaches, not to mention the glasses x2 issue... I don't think this is VR addiction, maybe it's just the low that comes after the high of a really great story. People got all jazzed up and into Avatar, and now they figure it's all downhill from here. Or at least this movie-year... only thing I'm seriously eager for is Voyage of the Dawn Treader (aka Narnia 3).

Oh she's 'connecting' all right...hehehe.
I was wondering why that movie reminded me of my holiday in Tijuana. At first, I thought it was the beautiful scenery and exotic locales.
But as it turns out, it was the donkey shows.
