Which books are you currently using, knowing that will help us answer your question accurately and with better recommendations?

Pick up one of the Adventure Paths, it gives backgrounds for the adventure. A Typical AP takes your characters from level 1 to 12-15.

The current PFRPG AP is nearly complete, so you could purchase all of them soon (the 5th of 6 is in customs, the last is due out next month.)

The whole path is a heady adventure though, either do a part or two of it, or for minimum alteration, just pick up some Pathfinder Modules, which are once off adventures.

all i know about the book is there is 10 chapters, each one has the same result. if the heros don't win the world there on is distroyed.

but it has everything, the dc for the checks to know information about the final boss, a timeline, the end game map, and all the enemeys we must fight before fighting the final boss.

The Shackled City adventure path hardcover has most of that stuff:

It's a series of 12 adventures with lots of background, a timeline, etc.

Are you playing 3.5 or Pathfinder RPG rules? There have been five adventure paths that are what I think you're looking for, but which rules set you prefer will determine which of them I would suggest to save you time on conversion.
