Pathfinder Monthly Games Start Sunday

Liberty's Edge

Hail and Well Met Fellow Gamers,

The eve of our first game approaches. The Ventrillo server is ready to go. The maps, NPCs, items, are uploaded and ready to go. GMs Joe, Alex, and Mark are ready to go. Are you?

Unfortunately, the cut off time to get your Pathfinder into the first game has passed. However there is still time to get your characters entered for the remaining January games. If you do not have a character finished yet or just want to give the Pathfinder Society and d20Pro a run down without having to create a character, pre-generated characters will be available (4th level). If you need any assistance in creating a character or uploading it into d20Pro please let us know (character creation / upload help here - http://help.mindgene.com/tutorials/creating-characters or email joe@mindgene.com).

Next week we will be announcing our February games available. Look for more tables, more GMs, more selection... more gaming!

Have a great day,

The d20Pro Team

Hi all -
Just a quick review of the d20pro.com site looks good.

Do you own all the PFS modules and have extrapolated all the maps and set them up in color and made it so that the players view them? I didn't notice a sample game in session to view. Of course, I'll go back for more information and forums there (just don't want to register and register and register and well you know).

Can you tell me more about your monthly game days. Just Sunday? Just once a month? Will a full license be required for these once the trial has expired? Will you have a minor, PFS d20Pro Game Day only license?

Be Well. Be Well Gamed.

Hm. Since my group here in Kosovo isn't exactly working out well, I might be interested in GMing on your site, if you are still lookin' for GMs

I'm no d20Pro rep, but from what I can tell, you'll have to import all maps and data from PFS modules yourself. This is the same with any tabletop simulator program. d20Pro however, seems to have made a big effort to support Pathfinder, where it seems all other commercial apps have relied on community support.

The d20Pro run games don't require a full license. You can just run the demo and get into the game if you 'book' a slot via their website. If you play a game run by an independent GM, I believe there are 2 guest slots and the rest of the players will need a $10 player license. I'm not sure whether the GM can simply buy the player licenses himself and apply them to his own installation or buy extra guest licenses.

I bought the GM license + 6 guests last year at GenCon. I figured that if I paid the costs my players would be more apt to play. I have GMed PF using this software and I can tell you that everyone that plays on it likes it a lot. There is some work to get a PFS scenario set up and the GM will have to set up the PCs in the software, but once you set the scenario up once you can GM it over an over again without any more set up.
