I finally started running the adventure last week. They cleared out the main chamber, the lair of the laborers and most of the lair of the architect. They loved it so far and with the modified origin of the Cairn they really got a sense of how amazing the adventure is. They are veteran gamers so they figured out that they needed to light the lanterns to make "something" happen. This Friday I finish it up. No deaths so far but a few bumps and bruises for sure :-)

How are you doing the Ebon Aspect?
I think I may be delaying its rise until they leave. Let them think everything is ok, then have it rise up and start wrecking the town (I will probably also pump up its HP total). I plan to have the bulk of the Garrison out of the town when that event happens so it is all up to the heroes.

You probably want to double-check the stats of the 3FoE denizens before you get to that adventure - it's been a while but IIRC there are at least a few mistakes, ie. tieflings somehow wielding 2-handed weapons and heavy shields, etc... Not that big a deal really, but more observant players may call you on it.
The real killer typo doesn't arrive until Hall of Harsh Reflections, in the form of an overstated mind blast DC for Zyrxog the illithid that has been responsible for the gods only know how many unfair PC deaths.
As for Blackwall Keep, the worst thing about that one was IMO that the actual lizardfolk siege is too much of a cakewalk. My players easily mowed through all the lizardfolk in a short time and never really felt like they were in any real danger, and I've read here how it was the same in a lot of other games. So if you're looking for someplace to advance some of the monsters or add a few nasty surprises of your own devising, that could be a candidate for where to do it.
Glad to hear my campaign is actually ahead of someone else's - we're currently in the middle of A Gathering of Winds, which is IIRC the 6th chapter. Mind you, it's taken us 4 years to get there... but really, we're only half as slow as that makes us sound - we alternate between this campaign and the FR campaign one of my players runs, switching back and forth at the end of each adventure.
Good luck with the AP & keep posting; I'm sure both of you and your groups are going to have lots of fun with this campaign...

The handouts pretty much make it known that the Aspect will rise, unless you dont give them the handouts.

I ran it last night as planned, and I used the monster builder to reskin a 6th level large red dragon into the ebon aspect (using 4E in case you didn't know).
The players didn't even notice and thought it was my own monster, which it kinda was, but anyways it was a cool encounter.
The group had to bust out about 3-4 dailies to take it down, and I knocked one PC out once, and bloodied everyone else at least once. It was a climactic end to the adventure and was really fun.
Once I get my notes together I will I post my conversion document for others to use, so keep watching the age of worms message threads for that.

Yeah I know Wraithstrike but I was not crazy about the exact way it was written. I have the Faceless as a recurring villain so his death is not something I want right now. I also like the idea that they think things are ok and then things explode. Part of the reason for it is that my Forgotten Realms campaign is modified from what is in the original adventure.
