Huh. I remember the old Avalon company, which made a TON of boardgames and Runequest 3e(?). Don't think this company's related, though:

The board game company was Avalon Hill, not just Avalon. Avalon Hill was bought many years ago by TSR/WotC and still puts out games like Axis & Allies.
