Dollar increase in price?

I just noticed that the price on companions is a dollar more than older ones and was curios as to why the increase. Is this because content changes, higher quality printing, or just good old fashioned inflation?

Good old fashioned inflation. The costs for the words, art, printing and shipping have all gone up quite a bit, so we couldn't hold the line and thus the $1 increase.

Oh well, I'm sure in 2058 we'll be able to get our companions for the low low price of $314.99 cest la vie. Thanks for taking time to answer the question Lisa, your pretty awesome, I was honestly hoping it was more do to higher quality paper or more illustrations or that then the stupid economy, but what can you do. Thanks for at least being willing to be upfront with it. I'll still be buying them :)

Yeah I guess I should have said something about that, the price had already gone up, I just didn't notice until this past month.
