Liberty's Edge

It's almost here.

I absolutely loved Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. The soon-to-be-released third installment in the series is the entire reason I bought a PS3.

Count me amongst the super-psyched for this one.

I might even buy a PS3 for this title if it turns out to be as good as the other two.

I was completely blown away by ICO. Shadow of Colossus was good but didn't have the same effect. I think because ICO was so, not combat focused and that's part of what made it so cool. Yreah, you had to fight, bu treally only long enough to be able to run agaain. SoC being more about the fighting, was still great, but it lost it's edge (IMO). Still looking forward to this third game.

Liberty's Edge

See, I didn't really think of the combat aspect in SoC as much as I did about the reason behind the combat. I was too engrossed in the story to let the obvious action pull me away from it. I knew early on that Dormin was up to something and I loved how, with each colossus you took down, Wander became visibly darker and more tainted in appearance. That, and I really loved Agro. I remember sitting down on a few Saturday afternoons for hours just exploring the entire valley with my horse without ever fighting a single colossus.
