Good start. I'd go even further:
Somehow, when you talk money I suddenly start agreeing with you. Good post!

Why thank you Kirth. But what exactly do we disagree on?

Here's one: Hey, Congress, how about you stop voting yourselves pay raises every year? The rest of us tend to get raises when we've done well at our jobs. Perhaps pay raises of Senators and Representatives should be decided by a vote in their home state.
How about you don't get to continue getting your pay even once you are voted out of office.

Sounds good to me. Maybe the pay should reflect the median income of of the state they represent. As that goes up, their pay goes up accordingly.

So far, the number of "K"s in "Chanukkah" -- obviously a major political schism just waiting to happen. I'll keep an eye out for other stuff!

Meh. A common problem when transcripting words from different alphabets. You should see the weirdness of Arabic-English name transcriptions!

I always like it when, instead of transcribing the dots over the Hebrew letters into vowels, they just omit the vowels altogether when translating, so you end up with people celebrating HNKH.

Yeah, Arabic is the same way. Most verbs are three-letter roots where the vowels are only indicated diacritical marks. Reading it can be a challenge.
