Wait... kids don't do the darndest things in other countries? The title of this thread makes no sense to me.
Of course not! They are very well-behaved and smart, because of actual schools and good education and all that.
In other countries, children of 4 already have been in school for 2 years.

If this is sarcasm, well done sir, my humor applauds you (even if my nasal passages do not, accursed Mountain Dew!).
If it is not... What.

This wins the thread.

Let's see. My autistic brain picked up that the boy was 4 and his mom was 21, which means that mommy was 17 when she had her first baby. She's divorced, and she can't control her kid?
I once met a guy who set some curtains on fire when he was 3 years old. This wasn't in America, It was in the Netherlands. Bad parenting happens everywhere, although it does seem to occur more often these days.
And what isn't wrong in America?

Disclamer (I am not an American)
Paizo, the majority of people on these boards, billions in aid, a stabilising influence on the world, Innovation and scientific invention, some of its entertainment industry (Jos Whedon, John Carpenter and so on). Lots of very nice people.

Boy, the way Glen Miller played. Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us, we had it made. Those were the days.
Didn't need no welfare state. Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee, our old LaSalle ran great. Those were the days.
And you know who you were then, girls were girls and men were men.
Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.
People seemed to be content. Fifty dollars paid the rent.
Freaks were in a circus tent. Those were the days.
Take a little Sunday spin, go to watch the Dodgers win.
Have yourself a dandy day that cost you under a fin.
Hair was short and skirts were long. Kate Smith really sold a song.
I don't know just what went wrong. Those Were The Days.

Yep, that is a better term.

If it was advertising he would have gone to every thread and linked them up. :)

No problem...
I am also quite willing to say what is wrong with the United States in a constructive way (as a friend and admirer) but that was not the question.
I think the US gets dumped on more than it deserves. Unfortunately that is also part of being the worlds most powerful nation.

I heard my name! One of you America-bashing commies said my name!
Oh it's just that sloppy drunk hippy with the hooves. Never mind.

MM thats a tough one. Lets see the dads in jail so maybe the dad is on the bottom bunk being some prison studs punk.
In all seiriousness it's incredibly sad that the boy misses his father so bad that he thinks the only way to see him is to go to jail.
The mother should try to find a positive male influence for the child like scouts or a church group or even a daycare center so he can learn to interact with other guys. Otherwise he's gonna become very effeminate in nature simply due to his limited male exposure. He will NOT become homosexual(thats a genetic trait, not learned behavior) simply because of lack of male role models but he will be more effeminate due to the lack of them.

CJ and Orthos, thanks for not turning my comment into a thread jack I realise now that it was rather inflamatory. However If you two would care to debate me on the issue we can take it off board, I am always intrested in others opinions. Plus I have read your posts in other threads and I think we can have a lively respectful disscussion amoungst adults that even if we dont agree we can still learn from one another and gain new perspective.

This might also be what's wrong with America.
I think we need to contact Bothered About Dungeons & Dragons.
