[LPJ Design] FREE Races of Obsidian Twilight: Harrowed (PRPG) Preview released

Product Discussion

Louis Porter Jr. Design, has released its first preview for the upcoming post apocalyptic survival horror fantasy setting, Obsidian Twilight for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Here is information on the Races of Obsidian Twilight: Harrowed (PRPG) Preview:

One of the most despised and feared races of Abaddon is that of the Harrowed. They are no less than the result of the unholy and abominable union between a mortal humanoid and the foul undead. The very existence of the Harrowed is a constant reminder to a subjugated populace of the undead overlords who have taken over the world of Abaddon, royal bastards neither fully mortal nor fully undead, caught between the two worlds. While the origin of some of the Harrowed is all too understandable, some undead have mortal along with immortal lusts, not all are the result of vampire lords and ladies exercising their rights and pleasures over their mortal subjects other, more horrifying instances can produce Harrowed just as easily from organized defilement and punishments for resistance, meted out through undead armies to children conceived while one partner or the other was possessed, all the way through to the unnatural magical experiments performed by Liches.

Ahhhh....time to d/l some new OT racial fluff to read later this evening while the woman's at a family Xmas event. Thanks, LPJ!

Louis,

I finally got to looking at the fluff. A couple of questions:
.
.

  • Can this Harrowed be affected by turning by a cleric?
  • If the union is between an undead and a humanoid, would it make sense that the humanoid must be female and thus the host of the offspring?

I've been comparing your Harrowed race to the Harrowed template that SGG (Hyrum) put out. I'm guessing we shouldn't think of this undead as in the classic type. Otherwise, I'd have a hard time conceiving (pun intended) a conception between the two types. Is it more like they suffer from an infection of sort that makes them appear as undead?

P.S. - Also, 2nd page, paragraph under Relations - drop the possessive (apostrophe) under Lykian's; s/b Lykians.

P.P.S. Are the Khymer next? I now know they're "true undead" (or at least from their point of view).

Since they are "half" undead would say yes but...

Oh yes! Yes they do.

No. They are not. Trust me, NO ONE is going to figure out what they are. LOL!!! The Khymer are very special.
