This one is going to be pretty cut and dry and probably the least amount of vitriol over everyone's concept of the archetype. With that said, here's what I thought:
- Acrobatics
Climb
Craft
Intimidate
Knowledge (arcana)
Knowledge (dungeoneering)
Perception
Profession
Sense Motive
Spellcraft
Stealth
How about the rest of you folks?

Well, mine are Climb, Craft, Intimidate, Handle Animal, Knowledge (arcana), Linguistics, Profession, Spellcraft, Swim.
But you knew that. Also mine is more Fighter than Wizard. :)
Admittedly I haven't followed every moment of this design sequence, but I gather you're going with Bard-equivalent... 6 caster levels, light armor. If it wound up being Int-based, I suggest adding Linguistics at the very least; if Cha-based, Use Magic Device.

I was kind of thinking about the number of (limited) skills that will be available each level and didn't want to overbloat the amount of class skills in comparison to the existing base core classes. My concept was CHA based and at one point I did consider UMD, but I kept it off for now. Depending on how magic is going to be imbued into his weapon, it would make more sense to include it.
But yes, the general consensus seems to be swaying toward what you've stated thus far. But we're always looking for additional participant feedback. ;)
It's the class options part that I'm really looking forward to with the creative juices as well as what themes keep popping up as a 'want' (like emulating the Warmage's 'Advanced Learning' talent). Given your "gish", I look forward to any input you put out there.
Just out of curiosity, what's your logic behind Handle Animal as a class skill?
Thanks for replying!

Mine's deliberately public domain, so feel free to steal whatever. :)

Inherited from the fighter; kept specifically because they have Ride, and might use it as more than an out-of-combat convenience, meaning they have reason to train (handle) a mount. The only class with one but not the other is the monk, and I think they only have Ride for backwards compatibility. Can't guarantee it's appropriate outside of the beefy front-line role, though.

Understood where you're coming from. My train of thought was that since this archetype has the duality of focusing on both martial and arcane combat, he may not have the time or expertise as may other classes with their affinity for animals.
