Tsuto Kaijutsu in Magnimar?

Rise of the Runelords

I thought I remembered reading somewhere about Tsuto Kaijutsu having to go to Magnimar for trial, there being no felony court in Sandpoint. I've done searches on the PDFs and can find no mention of this; was I just remembering someone's campaign log?

In our game the PCs captured Tsuto and he's been in jail waiting for the sheriff to return from Magnimar with the extra men he went to get; at this point the sheriff knows nothing about Tsuto's crimes.

In my game I ruled that since he was associated with one of the important families they needed a Justice from Magnimar to try him.
But then he committed suicide in jail,

Sovereign Court

Burried somewhere in Issues #1 or #2 it mentions how the Magnimar Justices preside over cases in Sandpoint and other Magnimarian holdings. It could be in the Sandpoint, Magnimar, Ironbriar or Varisia articles (the latter in issue #4).

Okay, I'll check those articles for general references.

Also, is there a reveal at some point that Ironbriar is Tsuto's father, or (again) is that something I'm remembering from an individual campaign log?

Sovereign Court

Nothing official, just in someone's campaing journal.

But it's such a good tie-in I don't see how it shouldn't be assumed.

Sandpoint is a Magnimaran colony, and falls under its judicial system.

Tsuto also lived in Magnimar until just before the AP started. He probably still even has a townhouse or apartment there.
