I'm not dismissing Rose McGowan's hottie factor, but she's hardly got the amazonian build one would expect of Red Sonja. But I suppose that it's hard to find statuesque women that act well. Bridgette Nielsen looked the part in the original, but I'd hardly call it a stellar performance.

Jason Momoa as Conan eh? Interesting. He does the big tough stoic guy well, and he can probably buff up for that and A Game of Thrones at the same time. And he can actually act alright too.

Gina is an MMA fighter too so she would probably be able to make the fight scenes look good. Mmmmm...Gina Carano....

Point. However, could she make the non-fight scenes good? In other words, can she act? Bridgette Nielsen looked good (well, they probably could have improved the look by not making her look like she had a carrot-top mullet...) but her acting was lousy.
