I'm glad this game is moving because all the other ones I'm in are like freaking molasses.
One of them I've posted 5 times compared to everyone's 1 post and it just started.
I'll give you an example:
One of the more fast-moving PbPs that I am in started a combat on Oct. 21. Now it is Oct. 31 and we are still in the third round of that combat.
Also, I am in the one that Gorgrom mentioned above - some of the players have not posted at all since it started, but then we haven't really gotten a lot of input from the DM either. I have posted to that one once, but again am waiting for some DM input.
I should have Friar Feres first post up later today.

Also, by all means discuss multi-classing or feat ideas for your future advancement (probably at most plot out 3 levels ahead, that way your not wasting effort given the possibility the game fell through)
Oh, and Gorgrom, have you chosen your 2 non-core ranger/assassin spells yet? I didn't see them on your profile (though admittedly I haven't looked as recently as perhaps I should have lol.)
Yes, Hunter's Mercy and Arrow Mind as recommended, but mainly because all the rest of the spells in the Spell Compendium are horrible. Though I must admit, I only looked at the Ranger's. Now to look at the Assassin's.

The only thing I noticed looking through the files was my studded leather armor is actually +4 AC and I had +3. Woohoo for extra AC. Oh, and the assassin spells in the spell compendium suck also. What were they thinking with some of those.
Alright Gorgrom, since you've expressed a bit of annoyance I'll run through them after I've replied to Loren, and see what kinds of tweaks I'll make. Might as well start with core actually. (And since I'm starting with core there will likely be a healthy chunk of overlap for you other spellcasters, so keep that in mind guys)

I'm not sure. The three of us have posted pretty extensive starting write-ups for our characters (especially you!), and have pretty much gotten no feedback from the DM. I'd be willing to continue if we got more DM input...
And you know, there's this other REALLY COOL PbP that so far I've been pretty lax in posting to; I should probably give it some attention as well! ;o)

Hmm, thoughts...are gravitating towards cake. I'd post a reply to the plot hook but I'm very much burned out, and my characters get snarky when that happens. Anyway, I've taken a slightly different option. I should probably start listing down what Baldoin's likely to do, and things like his obligations, but it just comes up as I write it down. For instance, he can't refuse to help Alika, because Alika is the one who patched him up. I think.
Mostly I'm preparing to leave their house, so like the confrontation with Alika, Shaina gets her own talk time, though how it will turn out, (and what Shaina actually is..or has..or something) I dunno. Haha. At one point I thought it would be fun to have Shaina tag along when Baldoin leaves. hmm....
I dunno, mindless speculation.

How's everyone doing? Just wanted to post in here cuz kyrt is always riding us to do so! J/K LOL. I am probably gonna stay with ranger, I don't see any point in cross classing for me. Not quite sure about feats yet. Maybe some weapon focus for my bow and the one for bows like power attack (can't remember the name). Next favored enemy will probably be civilized humanoids and favored terrain, temperate forests. For my Hunter's Bond, I'm not certain which one I want. The animal is cool but the bonuses are also nice. I guess we'll see when I get there. Alright back to work, LOL yeah right. :)

Sorry for the pressure, but the more we discuss things here, the better the game can be. It's all about maintaining discourse among players and GM.
Weapon Focus longbow is a fairly sweet feat. If you take it at level 3 thats a +1 accuracy, and then a +2 damage once you hit level 4, so it's probably a better choice at the moment than Deadly Aim (ranged power attack) But I suspect that it's a rock solid feat for your 5th level, especially since by then you'll have picked up the option (and it is an option, you get to choose how much to sacrifice) to drop 2 points of accuracy for +4 damage.
