Locating Monte Cook's Ptolus in the Golarion Campaign Setting

Hi Folks,

I am starting a campaign soon - Dragon's Delve in Ptolus in Pathfinder's Golarion Campaign Setting - and just realized that I've not yet determined one important detail. Where should I locate Ptolus within the Golarion world?

Any input from you all?

Thanks so much.

Ptolus is a big 'centre of the world' city, so it might be worth shoving out Absalom and popping it there.

Absalom is the obvious place.

It's not a bad question, Paizo's given their suggestions for both Ptolus and Freeport. Hehe, I even placed them on the Golarion map when I was making my unofficial atlas.. before it got shut down.

ANYWAYS..

The unofficial-official location would be in Nex. South of Quantium on the coast, but north of the Mana Wastes. There's a little like peninsula just north of the Wastes that would suit it perfect.

(BTW Freeport was on the south west corner of the little island just west of the Eye of Abendego.)

I have put Ptlous in the bay that is approximately 60 miles east of Riddleport. With Riddleport having its mysterious Cyphergate and Ptlous haveing the spire it seemed to be a good fit to me. Haven't decided yet how those two things are related yet.

Thanx!

Actually, looking back at the Ptolus book, it's not a "center of the world" city. Before adventurers started showing up it was a backwater forgotten about dredge of a dying empire. Important things are happening there, but it's not a capitol, it's not a center of civilization...if I remember right it's actualy described as a bit of a fronteer city.
