My group is 7 strong (8 when our gnome gets back from Iraq!) and going through the AP. The party consists of:
half-elf rogue
half-elf bard
dwarf fighter
dwarf ranger
half-orc sorcerer (draconic BL)
half-orc druid
human cleric (Sarenrae)
Since there are so many people in the group, and they are all fairly intense roleplayers, AND the AP starts getting very dark, horror filled and grotesque, I want to find a way to incorporate horror damage, done to morale instead of HPs. Someone told me there is a system in Tome of Secrets, but that it was fairly complicated and factored in HPs of damage done, etc, which is way more complex than I am looking for.
Basically, for the haunts, the dark "Seven" type events of Skinsaw, the horrors of Hook Mountain, etc, I want to enhance the role of the bard and cleric in keeping up the party's spirit in the face of all that psychic trauma. Does anyone have any ideas of a good way to do this? I am looking for something a little more complicated than a string of fort or will saves and assigning shaken status to players from time to time, but something that does not become too much of a DM's overhead nightmare.

There is a wizards product...heroes of horror I believe, that has some rules for this, though I believe it's largely "will save or be shaken", though if I remember right the rules for taint are involved somehow...might be worth looking into. I'll try to remember to look at my copy when I get home tonight and post again tomarow a little better of a responce.
Also, sinisteradventures.com has a GM guide coming out soon that might or might not have what your looking for. There is a preview for it somewhere on the sight, where they talk about incorporating descriptions, DM adjudicated character hallucinations, and similar ideas into a campaign to represent terror. I don't know how long you have until you need the material, nor do I know how long until the book comes out, nor do I have any idea if there are any real game mechanics for this in the book, or just suggestions on how to RP it...but you might wanna hit the sight and check things out.
