Hi there,
Would it be possible to play RotR and CotCT at the same time, playing the modules in order (i.e. #1 #1, #2 #2, etc), though not necessarily switching campaign over after every module (i.e. RotR #1 then, say, CotCT #1 and #2, then back to RotR #2 and so on)?
I've only read RotR #1 and #2 so I'm not sure how practical this is.
I'm likely to have 7-8 players, and I'm looking to run a campaign where it takes a bit longer to go up the levels.
If this is sensible, what would be the best order to run the modules in?
Cheers

Puh, I guess this would be rather difficult as long as you're not willing to invest a lot of time and work. This said, and if you're just interested in the storyline, I'd suggest something like this.
RotRL #1- RotRL #2-CotCT #1 - CotCT #2 - CotCT #3 - RotRL #3 - RotRL #4 - CotCT #4-CotCT #5 - RotRL #5 - CotCT #6 - RotRL #6
The rest in spoilers:
I'll gladly expand on my reasonings for this order later, but at this point I guess the main problem storywise would be RotRL #3 and #4, which should probably be omitted alltogether (if you don't want to use them as an expanded side-trek that is). The same goes for RotRL #5 though you could easily Serithiel's location by a portal leading to the mega-dungeon of RotRL #5 placing the sword there for the SC to find.

Would it be possible to not have the RotRL #2 to CotCT #1 jump? Either move CotCT #1 to the beginning or RotRL#2 between CotCT #2 and #3?
Incidentally, I don't mind running with two story lines. I just need suitable points to move between campaigns. I noticed, for example, that RotRL #1 to #2 allows for a reasonable break between them.

I guess you could do that. The PC could be the bodyguards for the royal ambassador visiting the Swallowtail festival and there get invested into the events of PF#1. I'd probably do this before the end of CotCT #1, though, because chances are, that after that, they aren't in good standing with the crown and wouldn't be assigned such a duty.
In my mind RotRL #2 would work just fine within the frame of CotCT. In fact, you wouldn't even need to leave town as there are no problems in integrating the events into a town anyway.
If you plan to run it as is, I'd probably run it directly after RotRL #1,though. You're right there's no problem to have a break between those two adventures, but on the other hand, CotCT #1-#3 are written in a much more cohesive way. I'd have to do another read but at first glance I'd say that a break between #2 and #3 could damage the atmosphere of this part of the AP very easily.

Ok so do C1 with R1 and 2 inserted just before the last events, then head back to C1 (end) and 2 and 3, with obviously the end scenario beefed up a bit.
Just to touch base on levels, I would expect PCs to be:
C1: 1 - 2
R1: 2 - 3
R2: 4 - 5
C1 (end): 5
C2: 5 - 6
C3: 7 - 8
R3: 8 - 9
R4: 10 - 11
C4: 11 - 12
C5: 13
R5: 14
C6: 15
R6: 16

Actually, R1 then C1, R2, C2 and C3 could work like this:
I thought I might have Zellara present, and alive, at the swallowtail festival, help the PCs with a Harrow Deck reading, maybe to help them along a bit, and during this time plant the various Harrow Cards when she realises their common enemy.
Then if, in CotCT #1, they rescue Trinia, then finish and go back to help in Sandpoint and Magnimar, they can later hear how apparently Trinia has been re-captured and is about to be executed from Magnimar, which should send them back to Korvosa for #2 and #3.
What do you think?
