IMPORTANT: Anyone who played at GenConOz 2009
You may have noticed, I have been busy reporting GenConOz 2009 Pathfinder Society sessions. If you visit your profile page, there should now be a "sessions" link which will display all of your characters sessions.
The majority of sessions have now been recorded, but there were a few sessions I couldn't find the report cards for. So please take a moment to double-check the sessions as they appear on your profile page, and if any are missing or inaccurate, please post the details here so I can fix them up.
The ones I'm concerned about are listed below:
Thursday 17th September - Evening session
#03 Murder on the Silken Caravan - GM myself (Stephen)
Friday 18th September - Morning session
#05 The Mists of Mwangi - GM myself (Stephen)
Saturday 19th September - Afternoon session
#01 Silent Tide - GM Austin
Sunday 20th September - Morning session
#02 The Hydra's Fang Incident - GM Austin
Sunday 20th September - Afternoon session
#04 The Frozen Fingers of Midnight - GM Austin
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.
Cheers,
DarkWhite

G'day. I'm missing one - Scenario 08 Slave Pits of Absalom

Thanks guys, I'll get onto that as soon as I get home.
I think what happened was I wrote the scenario/GM details at the top of the card, but because that session ran over-time (midnight!) I think the paperwork happened the next morning. When I GMed the next session, Mists of Mwangi, player details were recorded under Silken Caravan by mistake. I realised this as I was entering them online, and reported those players as having played Mists of Mwangi, but I didn't have a list of players for Silken Caravan.
If you can recall who else played at your table, I might have their Society numbers from another session, just in case they don't see this thread.
Sorry for the mix up. If you notice anything else, please bring it to my attention in this thread. Thanks!

Oh, wait .. Slave Pits?
Okay, you're right. I have a card with player details, but no scenario title, and Slave Pits must be the one.
I'll credit Abrahaam Thunderwolff, Jackson Pillage, Adom Radames who also played that session.
Thanks :-)
PS: I mistakenly recorded my GM Pathfinder number incorrectly on your chronicle sheets throughout GenConOz. My number should be 1657 if you want to correct it.

Okay,
I was in the Murder on the Silken Caravan along with the pair from Newcaste and Angur the dwarf. (4844-1 - Adom Radames)
I also played in the Friday morning session of Mists of Mwangi which appears to be entered incorrectly. I will check out the PA totals as I think it is a little short atm.
Let you know soon,
Andrew D.

Yep, myself and my friend played in Mists of Mwangi and Murder on the Silken Caravan. My number is 10321-1, and his would be something very similar. His character was Movius.
I can't quite check if you've entered it yet, though, because there's a slight mix-up with my account and society numbers that Mr. Frost is working on whipping the IT guys to fix. :)

Ah, the New Castrations (that is the proper term to address those from New Castle is it not?)
I've credited Adom, Angur, Saki and Movius with having played Murder on the Silken Caravan on Friday 18th September.
Which raises another question - which faction were Saki and Movius working for? I thought you were both Andoran, but I clearly remember the faction mission Saki missed out in Silken Caravan was Osirioni. In which case, I might have to go back and double-check the faction reported for each of your sessions.

Hi Masika,
I've checked and Adom has been reported as having played Mists of Mwangi on Friday 18th September. You were credited 1 prestige point for your faction. This seems to be correct. If your faction points don't match what appears online, it may have been another session which is in error. If you discover the problem, please let me know.
Cheers,

Novocastrians is the word! New Castrations sounds like some kind of painful operation...
We were both Andoran. We missed out on the second faction mission,
while it was Adom that missed out on his second faction mission from Osirion,

A slight hic up.
I left my character over at a mates place where we play. I will pick it up Tuesday and check. I am not concerned about the PA as I had my fun in stopping others acheiving theirs! :)
I did notice that you did report the #3 scenario incorrectly still for me. You have reported that session ran on Friday. It ran on Thursday night and should be session #1 for genconoz 2009.
|
Ah, you're correct on all accounts.
Of course I was joking re Novocastrians ;-)
Fixed those up now. Masika won't be happy, he already thought Adom was running short on Prestige. Sorry mate :-(
Cheers :-)
Just checked the scenario itself and Adom should have gotten one (I believe I did on my sheet) for cleaning the temple out. There was a "unsympathic" cleric of Pharasma who refused or couldn't bless the temple.
Adom should have 1 PA out of 2 for scenario #3.

Woah! When did this occur? Preventing other characters from achieving their goals falls under the "Do Not Bully Other Players" rule - Guide to Pathfinder Society Organised Play page 17. (Actually, it could also be considered under the "No Player vs Player Conflict" and "Do Not Cheat" rules).
Was this a scenario I GMed? Please shoot me a private email relating the circumstances of these faction missions, and I'll decide whether other characters should be awarded unfairly denied prestige points, or consult the GM for that session if necessary.
I played a similar tactic with a character of mine, Slip, for a game or two. There was much debate on the boards, and Josh (rightly so) came down hard with the opinion that while we might consider it friendly banter between friends, it has no place in Society games. I have a guilty feeling that this incident was behind the prestige point restructure between Seasons 0 and 1. So regretfully, I'm speaking from experience, and I'd prefer others learn from Slip's mistakes, not repeat them.
I've since re-concepted Slip, and will come down hard on anyone who tries to deny others their faction points - similar to how reformed addicts are often the strongest advocates against their former vices.

You're probably correct on this one. I ran Murder on the Silken Caravan twice, Thursday and Friday evenings, though session numbers were just the order in which I recorded them online, and may not correspond to the order in which they were played.
The other team reluctantly but unanimously decided to skip the encounter in question entirely due to running short on time, which is why Osirion missed their Prestige points on that occasion. I thought that might have been Adom, but it seems you were in the other team. I will correct this, sorry for the mistake.

In a nice way. There was one game when Adom spotted a character giving a secret message to someone else. I most certainly did not break any rules above or intente on to.
I was quietly "chuffed" at the result. I don't see that as bullying. Or was I bullying?

While the rules are headlined "bullying", it really covers a broader range of situations - anything that intentionally or unfairly hampers another player (my interpretation).
I think the key here is "intentionally" and "unfairly", and I am aware of situations where one player may quite UN-intentionally and UN-knowingly spoil another's faction mission - this is neither "intentional" nor (arguably) "unfair".
An example is where one faction is trying to keep the identity of a rogue member secret from others, but another player gains this information via legitimate roleplaying investigations, whereby an NPC blurts the name and faction out for all to hear.
This is but one example that comes to mind, and the player would probably not have been aware of the attempts of another player to keep this information hidden. I suspect this is a situation similar to the one you're referring to, as I've had it occur in another game.
If this is the case, while unfortunate for the other faction member(s), then no harm, no foul.
One of the problems is that Prestige points now being tied to item access, they've suddenly become a lot more important in Season 1 than they were previously in Season 0. Understandably, that can make situations like these a sore point with some players.

Thanks for the clarification.
There most certainly was no malice in my playing or character actions.
I am not so worried about what PA get me... I generally do not have the gold to purchase it! :)
I will remember for the future to be careful and consider other people's feelings when I post. We all need to remember that it is a game and that unlike rules that are fairly black and white, players have different personalities and sense of humour and we need to be mindful of that.
I certainly learn alot from playing and interacting with a lot of people who I only meet at Genconoz. I believe it will make me a better player/GM as I experience new personalities and playstyles. I can not wait to rip into RotRL under PFRPG and give my players hell! :)
